Lucian's quiet life as a bartender shatters when he discovers a dark, ancient power coursing through him. Marked by a fiery sigil and haunted by dreams of a demonic throne, he torn between Seraphina, a celestial warrior urging him to resist, and Lilith, his mother, enticing him to embrace his destiny.

Prologue
High above mortal realms, where light pierced through veils of eternal mist, the Celestial Council convened. A great circular chamber, crafted of pure luminescence, echoed with an uneasy stillness. Seraphina stood at the center, her golden curls glinting in the radiance. Her face bore an expression of resolve, though unease flickered beneath her calm demeanor. Around her sat the other Celestials, their auras pulsing with the light of eons, their faces grave. “The sigil has awakened,” Seraphina began, her voice clear but heavy with dread. “The Mark of Asharion burns once more.” A murmur rippled through the council, like a gust of wind scattering leaves. Father Gabriel, the eldest of them, rose. His presence alone demanded attention, his silver wings shimmering faintly as his piercing eyes settled on Seraphina. “We swore this day would never come,” Gabriel intoned, his voice resonating with the weight of countless battles fought in the name of order. “Asharion was sealed away for a reason. If the seal has been broken, it can only mean one thing: Lilith moves again in the shadows.” “Lucian is not yet lost,” Seraphina interjected, her tone firm. “The boy still has free will. He may resist the bloodline’s pull if guided properly.” “Resist?” scoffed another celestial, Raziel, his fiery wings flaring slightly. “Do you forget the destruction his lineage wrought the last time? He is the spawn of chaos, forged from rebellion and fire. We cannot risk such power falling into his hands!” “The boy is innocent,” Seraphina countered, stepping forward. “He didn’t ask for this burden. He must be given a chance to choose his path. To condemn him without trial would make us no better than those we claim to protect humanity from.” Gabriel raised a hand to silence the growing argument. His eyes narrowed, focusing on the radiant pool at the center of the chamber. It swirled with visions of Lucian, his mark glowing faintly beneath his skin, shadows flickering ominously around him. “Lilith will not wait,” Gabriel said, his tone quieter now, almost sorrowful. “She will lure him, as she did before, with promises of power and destiny. The mortal world will suffer in the wake of his awakening, whether he embraces his bloodline or not.” “What do you propose?” asked Uriel, whose calm voice carried a note of foreboding. “We send Seraphina,” Gabriel declared. “You have watched over him, guided him from afar. Now, you will intervene. Prevent the awakening if you can. If not...” His words trailed off, the implication clear but unspoken. Seraphina bowed her head, her resolve unwavering despite the weight of her task. “I will not fail,” she vowed, though her heart ached with the uncertainty of the path ahead. As the council dissolved into light, Seraphina stood alone in the chamber, gazing into the swirling visions of Lucian. Beneath her determination, a whisper of fear lingered. She knew that the awakening of Asharion was not merely the rise of power—it was a reckoning that could shatter realms. And the fate of all creation hung in the balance.
