My Second Chance

Chapter - 12

"Shadow thought that she drank my wine, but I just explained that it was your wine. Now she wants to know how much she owes you." As my brother finished talking, both of them were looking at me by this point. Without having any other solution I just nod. I looked at Aldea and made eye contact with him.

Finally, he sighed and walked to the cupboards and opened them, after a few minutes he took out a bottle and poured it into a glass. "There are six bottles of my wine missing," He said as he took a sip. "The price of one bottle is about 150£, so you would owe me 900£" He took another sip and looked at me. My jaw dropped there's no way that it costs that much! I scanned his face for any hints that it was a lie, but nothing. The doorbell rang and my brother went to answer it. I grabbed my phone and was ready to pay for the bottles. "But because of that little trick you did last night, I'll lower it to 200£," He said staring at me, I look at him confused but I quickly paid him before he changes his mind. After that, I left the kitchen and went back to my room.

I closed and locked the door behind me and got ready to leave tonight. I bet there's a lot of paperwork on my desk. I messaged Jenny and she was glad that I was going to the office. I made sure to do my homework and packed tomorrow's classes in the bag. I got dressed and when I made sure they were in the living room I left the house with my backpack and got into her car. When we got to my office I quickly sat down and saw all the stacks of papers on both mine and her desk. After I was done I noticed that it was already 4 am. I sigh and text her that I'll need a huge cup of coffee and a trainer. I saw from the corner of my eye that she looked at me and nodded.

"Miss fox, Friday at 10 pm you have an appointment with Mrs.Winter. I made sure to make this appointment late so you could still maintain the normal lifestyle." I nod at her and smile. She has been with me for so long and she always makes sure that everything is perfect.

The first time I saw Jenny was when she got fired and kicked out. After a few days, I saw her in the streets, looking for a job. I befriended her and found out that even her boyfriend kicked her out. So I proposed to her to be my assistant and she accepted it that same second. The next day I brought her the contract, and she read it and signed it without hesitation. She promised to keep her lips sealed and I was satisfied. Then we got into my car and drove to HQ, I gave her a mask to put on, then we went to the Boss. I informed him that she will be working for me as my assistant and that he should start doing the paperwork for her. I then brought her to my office and explained what she will need to do and how. Then after I finished explaining, a couple of men came in and started building a desk near the door, I informed her that, that will be her desk.

We walked throughout the whole building and I told her where was everything. I then noticed that she was writing everything down. I explained to her that after a week she cannot have notes like that and she will have to burn them, to which she nodded. After two weeks she got used to everything, which I was impressed with. Then I found out her birthday was the next day and I went to our group's mask maker and told them to make a new mask for my assistant. Wich, I surprised her and welcomed her to the group.

She has never betrayed my trust and even throws herself in danger just to protect me. When I went to grab a coffee, I overheard that when I died the boss wanted to remove everything in my office and put someone else in it, but Jenny stood up and told him that she still works for me even if I'm dead and it's not right to remove someone who has made so much for the group. She even brought flowers and candles to my office. She didn't want to accept the fact that I was dead. Looks like her waiting paid off.

I took out my phone and started typing. 'Prepare the car, I'm going to change and drive me to school.' I dropped my phone on her desk and pulled out my uniform. I then closed the curtains and changed. After I was done, she put a make-up bag on my desk, I did my make-up and she drove me to school. As we were driving she kept glancing at me at which I snapped my fingers looking at her.

"I got the top group trainer and your training will be from Monday to Saturday, starting today at 7 pm, Sunday will be a free day, but at 8 pm you have a meeting with the white and black twins in your office and at 10 pm you will have a meeting with Mrs.Volly," She said as she pulled over a block away from my school. I nod and point towards my throat. "Ah! Yes, I've been trying to contact the person you mentioned. She still hasn't responded, should I try calling her?" I shake my head. No, once she sees the messages she will understand. I got out of the car and threw the bag over my shoulder. I saw her take off her mask and went to a cafe shop and brought me a sandwich and a milkshake with milk chocolate and Oreos. I take them and wave her goodbye with my sandwich in hand as I was walking away. I heard her giggle and laughed to myself.

It will be an extremely busy week and I will enjoy it every second. I have too much free time and finally, it changes.
