Chapter 37: Fight Against
(Eden's POV)
I hesitated at the entrance, my feet rooted to the spot as Alexander’s sharp gaze pinned me in place.
He stood near the couch, his arms loose at his sides, yet every line of his body gave off a commanding air.
His wolf’s eyes—grey like a brewing storm—flashed with that same unsettling intensity I had come to know too well.
"Come here," his voice broke through the silence, calm but tinged with unspoken authority.
I swallowed hard, my grip tightening around the bag of stabilizers I had just picked up from the healer’s shop. His tone wasn’t one that allowed for refusals.
I walked toward the living room, every step deliberate, my guard high as the air seemed almost suffocating around him.
He gestured to the couch, motioning for me to sit.
