The air in my room was heavy with the faint scent of sage, a comforting aroma as I prepared for my evening ritual. My fingers meticulously arranged the pale blue crystals on the wooden tray in front of me, their faint glow offering a sense of calm I desperately needed.
The storm outside had passed, but the storm within me hadn’t. Alexander’s words from earlier in the day still echoed in my mind, sharp and cutting, making it harder to focus.
