Silence... Again, there was another silence engulfing the crowd. But this time, it was noticeable that the silence was longer than then. On top of that, it was caused not by speechlessness, but by pure shock and disbelief. Be it the villagers or the Buwaya Tribe members, what they had seen was just too much for them to believe in. Did Dugo just kill that terrifying man? The villagers gawked at the sight of it. Did that brat just kill one of their people? The Buwaya Tribe members gawked at that sight even greater. How could they not if what they had seen was just too much for them to accept as reality? Everyone of them knew how weak Dugo was, yet right now, he would be able to kill someone with just a single hit? Not only that, it even appeared that his attack was too scary as it left a huge hole in his target's abdomen by just using a knife. How were they supposed to believe their own sight? No, this must be a fluke! Seeing one of their people fall before their eyes, the Buwaya Tribe members were enraged. An aura of hostility exuded from each of them, their fierce eyes fell on a single person. That person was, of course, Dugo, who was the cause of such a mess. Meanwhile, Dugo right now, although he managed to keep a calm expression probably because of the strange power he was currently experiencing, his inside was in a mess. He was bewildered. He was confused. He was shocked. And he too had it hard to believe such an occurrence. After all, how could he do something like that when he knew full well the limits of his capability? To say that he was just dreaming couldn't be too exaggerated. Just what was happening to him right now? Wait... Could it be... Now that Dugo thought about it, didn't he hear a voice earlier before he received some strange but warm feelings from the inside? And that voice was very familiar for a reason. Thinking deeply about it, Dugo subconsciously turned to look behind him only to see the man he tried to protect smiling slightly at him. “What are you looking at? Don't you think you still have plenty of matters to settle?” The man, the mysterious man in Dugo's eyes, suddenly spoke with a faint smile. His voice was warm and his words were strangely convincing. Dugo didn't know why, but he felt rather in awe. He felt like wanting to worship this person for the rest of his life and obey his every command. Why? Dugo couldn't help but ask in his mind. Who was this person? No, he shouldn't think of such matters right now. Just as this man said, he still had plenty of matters to deal with. Turning to look around again, he could see the members of the Buwaya Tribe had their gazes locked on him. Each with the intent to kill as he could tell right away that he was the person of their target. “Fellow tribesmen, get out of this place if you don't want to be implicated. Also, bring the Village Chief with you,” Dugo suddenly spoke. His voice was unusually cold, his eyes flashed with a cold glint. He waved his knife to the side as, after a short moment, he added, “You all can do that, right?” Dugo was usually a warm-hearted person who always laughed and had a bright smile all day long. Free from worries and never suffered from bullies and suppression. Although he was sometimes sly and loved to cause trouble, that was only because he was a bit immature. And the villagers didn't care much about it as they understood. However, now that their village was under attack, and the Village Chief, the one he considered his own father, was hurt before his eyes, he just couldn't restrain the coldness and anger in his heart. It was his first time feeling something like that. And he didn't know how to control such emotions. No, even if he could, he would rather let those emotions drive him like mad so as to punish those bastards who dared to harm their village, especially the Village Chief. And now that he obtained a power that could deal with those bastards, his confidence had naturally risen to the max level. Still, if he wanted to go all out and test his limits, he should at least secure the villagers out of the place as a precaution if things went wrong, right? Thinking about it, Dugo subconsciously shifted his gaze to the area around him to see if the villagers followed his command. Of course, he couldn't help but think that the villagers might be stubborn and would be unwilling to leave him alone. Since they were currently undergoing through thick and thin, as fellow village men, they would do their best to help him protect their village, right? Even though he was acting tough, that was still an acting. He didn't want to say it out loud, but to fight all the members of the Buwaya Tribe, he naturally needed a helping hand or two. Cheering would help too. But to Dugo's surprise, the villagers were nowhere near him anymore. One question mark and two exclamation points floated above his head for a moment, only to find all the villagers far away behind him. By the looks of it, they had already secured their distance to keep themselves safe. Right now, he was all alone. “This...” Dugo suddenly had the urge to cry. His body trembled, his face couldn't help turning dark. Even the man he tried to protect earlier, and the man who he thought would be with him until the end, had already left him as he was now together with the other villagers. He could even see the other party waving his hands to him, his face wore a bright smile. It was as if he was saying, “You can do it!” “Fuck...” Strangely, Dugo felt annoyed by the sight of that man. If he was just in a good situation, then he might have smacked him right on his face. But since he was in a tough position, he had to try his best to ignore that man as well as all the villagers who had already left him. And now that he had put his attention around him, he just found out that he was completely surrounded by the members of the Buwaya Tribe. All of whom had murderous gazes locked only to him. And then their cold voices sounded. “Brat, it seems like you have some skills. To kill one of our members with just a normal knife, you must be quite a prodigy.” “Too bad, you've offended us. Your life will end here and now.” “Well, since we are so merciful, we will let you have a choice.” “Brat, join us. If you join us, not only will we spare your life and the people in this village, but we'll also protect all of you. How is it? Isn't this offer too tempting?” As if their expressions suddenly went downhill, the members of the Buwaya Tribe suddenly wore wide smiles. It looked more like a grin than a smile though. And Dugo could easily tell that no good would come if he really joined them. Although such an offer might sound good for others, it was too disgusting for him. He wasn't that desperate to live to stoop so low as to join a group of bloodthirsty maniacs! He would rather die, no, he would rather kill them all than join such a group. With that in mind, Dugo suddenly revealed a scornful smile. He raised his middle finger to make sure that all of them could see. And then he said, “Piss off.”
