Chapter 4 Unexpected Escape

723 Words
"So boring, it's Thursday again. It's our P.E. time, ugh," I muttered to myself. "I really hate P.E., dancing folk dances, argh! I don't know how to dance!" I said to myself. "Ellaine, you look stupid!" Kayla said when she saw me talking to myself. We are on the field right now because of our P.E. Kayla and Aly are talking to each other, while Rhamil is talking to our other classmate and Allen, an irregular student, finished taking 1st-year P.E. And me? I'm here under the tree because it's such a hot day. "Aly, who's your partner for the dance?" Kayla asked. "Ellaine is my partner. How about you?" Alyssa asked back. "I don't know, maybe some BSCA 1st year? Or maybe I'm going to be solo in our performance," she answered. "Oh, Rhamil is in the other group and is partnered with Pao," Aly said. I could hear them because I'm super near them. "Ahh, I'm so thirsty. I need to buy some drinks, guys," I notified my group mates and also my friends. They said okay to me or approved my excuse. So, I got up to get my things and left the field or should I say the school. I went into the forest just to stay there for a few seconds. "Ahh..." I said when someone bumped into me as I walked around to go to the forest area of our school. "Oops, sorry miss... Ellaine?" The one who bumped into me is the one and only Archer. "Okay, you can let go now," I said because he was still holding my arm and my back, as I almost lost my balance. I clicked my fingertips to get him to stop staring at me. "Oh, I'm so sorry," he said. "It's okay," I replied and left him there. But suddenly, he started following me around. "Hey, where are you going?" he asked while following me. "Hmm, somewhere?" I answered. "Can I come? Well, I don't have any classes for today," he said. "And why would you?" I asked. "Because... Because... Because-" "Because what?" I asked intimidatingly. "Because I want to hang out with you," he said with his eyes closed. "Fine," I said and started walking again. "Ellaine, where are we going?" he asked while following me. "The forest," I lazily answered him. "What are we doing there?" he asked again. I really hate people who ask so many questions; it's really irritating. Ugh. "I want some fresh air," I said. He didn't ask any more questions and just followed me. He grabbed my bag and my things. I was surprised at first, but I didn't bother to ask a question because I'm too lazy to ask. We arrived at the spot, sat on the bench there, and I put my arm on the table to make it my pillow. "Do you have any classes?" he asked. I stared at him and answered, "Yeah, I just skipped classes in P.E. It's so boring," I said. "Stubborn girl," he said, shaking his head. "Tsk," I said. "Do you want some ice cream?" he asked, making me excited and nod my head. "Yes, yes, yes!" I childishly answered, making him laugh. "Okay, little kiddo, hahah," he said and left to buy ice cream. That made me pout, but he didn't see it because he had already left to buy our ice cream. "Here's your ice cream, madam," he jokingly said. "Thanks," I said and grabbed the ice cream he offered me. "How much is this?" I asked while taking out my wallet from my bag. "It's on me, Madam Ellaine," he said and winked at me. "Hmm, thanks, I guess?" I said as I ate my vanilla ice cream. "Anything for my madam," he said, smiling at me. "Weirdly creepy," I joked to him. "Hahaha," he just laughed at me. "What time is it?" I asked. "It's almost 1, why?" he replied. "Oh my goodness, I need to go back to our class. My group mates will notice that I've been gone for a while," I panicked. "Let me take you there," he offered, but I refused because my classmates and professor might notice something and think that I'm dating someone during our class. "No need, but thanks for the ice cream," I thanked him while waving before running away.
