Chapter 5 Unexpected Encounters

635 Words
I just arrived in the field where my classmates and friends were. They had already finished and dismissed our class. "Ellaine, did you buy the whole cafeteria, huh? You're too early for the next subject," Kayla sarcastically said. "Hehehe, something just happened," I replied. "Tell us what happened," Aly said in a curious way. By the way, Allen is not here because she has already finished 1st-year P.E. as an irregular student. "I didn't really go to the cafeteria. I just went out and went to the forest because I was getting bored here. Hehehe," I said, making a peace sign that made them shake their heads and give me a death glare. "Ellaine," Kayla said, slapping her forehead. "When I was walking around there, I bumped into someone, and guess who..." I said, making their faces curious. "Who?" Rhamil asked. "Archer. I almost lost my balance, but thanks to him for catching me so quickly. Heheh," I told them. "Ayiee, looks like someone is in love," Alyssa giggled. "Aws, Rhamil, you have a rival with Ellaine," Kayla jokingly said. "It's okay, Kayla. Don't be jealous. I'm already yours," Rhamil joked, making us all laugh as Kayla blushed. "Oh, someone is blushing. Hahah," I said teasingly to Kayla. "Hahaha, don't blush, my baby," Rhamil said, making Kayla's face turn even redder. "Hahaha, that's enough, guys. Let's just go home, and Rhamil, share your umbrella with Kayla because it's too hot, and Kayla's face too," I said jokingly. Rhamil did what I said, and Alyssa and I laughed at them from behind. As we walked near the gate, I saw a familiar face waiting for someone. "Hey, dude, what's up?" Rhamil greeted Archer. "Waiting for someone or for Ellaine?" Kayla joked. "Hey, guys, I'm just waiting for all of you and wanted to ask if I could join you," Archer asked. "Yeah, sure, dude, no problem," Rhamil answered. "Are you really waiting for us or just waiting for Ellaine to come out?" Aly teased. "Hehe, both, I guess?" Archer answered shyly. "Oops, dude, back off. Ellaine is already taken by me," Rhamil teased, causing Archer to change his attitude. "Oh, okay," Archer said in a cold voice. "Nah, I'm just kidding, bro. HAHAH," Rhamil laughed, pushing me towards Archer, causing me to bump into his chest. "Oops, sorry," Rhamil said while laughing, along with Aly and Kayla. "Thanks," Archer said with a smirk. I pushed Archer away and did the same thing to Kayla, pushing her towards Rhamil and signing a rude gesture to them. But Archer caught my hand and said, "That's bad." I rolled my eyes and replied, "I don't care," before starting to walk away. "Ellaine, wait for me," Archer yelled, following me. When he caught up, he opened his bag, took out his umbrella, and covered me from the heat. "How sweet of you guys. I wish my Dale was here so I wouldn't be the third wheel," Alyssa said, pouting and stomping her feet, making us all laugh. "Poor girl," I teased. "Come here, my baby Alyssa. I'll join you," Kayla said, opening her arms to hug Aly. But Rhamil was faster and hugged Kayla first, causing us all to laugh at them. "Oh, something is going on with these two that we don't know about, Alyssa," I teased. "Yeah, for sure," she replied, making the two of us laugh. All the way home, all we did was laugh and tease each other. Archer silently listened to us and sometimes laughed along. He offered to take me home, and even though I initially refused, he still did it for me. He apologized for accidentally bumping into me in the hallway. I couldn't figure out why he was being so nice to me. I think he's a really nice and friendly guy?
