THIRD PERSON'S POV:- It was another night at the mansion of the Silver Lightening Pack. The Alpha's mansion was drowned in darkness. The silence was almost deafening. Or maybe every single werewolf in the pack was actually deaf. As they failed to hear the helpless sobs of a tiny creature that was locked in the dark room. It was so dark that she couldn't even see her own hands. The darkness had blinded her for sure. She was breathing heavily, as she felt like she was suffocating. She wanted to scream out loud. She wanted to remind the werewolves of the Silver Lightening Pack that they had forgotten to free her yet again. But the fear of what happened to her the last time, didn't even let her cry out loud. That helpless and tiny creature was Nora. A sweet and innocent girl who was sold by her cruel father to the Luna of the Silver Lightening Pack. That cruel man didn't think twice before he gave up that helpless girl to the creatures she didn't belong to. Nora was a human. And humans were not allowed to be in werewolf packs. A decade of hell she went through and still, no one heard her cries. Nora had her hand clapped on her mouth tightly, so her sobs would not be loud. She didn't want Luna to be disturbed in her sleep. Or Nora would face wrath again. Did Nora commit a crime by being locked in a dark room with no windows? It's for you to decide. Her crime was that she sneezed again while cleaning up that big mansion. She couldn't help herself. She was born with an allergy. Her mom used to keep her protected. But who was there to protect her after her mother's death? There was no one. It started getting harder for her to breathe. Nora tried to inhale sharply but her air pipes were blocked. Unfortunately for her, the dark room was dusty too. And this time, she forgot to take her mother's handkerchief with her. Nora fell on the ground, scratching her neck just so she could breathe. Alpha healer Rex was passing by when he heard someone's shaking. "Oh my Goddess! Not again!" Alpha healer mumbled as he ran toward the dark room. He unlocked the door and, as he had expected, he found Nora on the ground. She was kicking the dust and scratching her skin until it started bleeding. Her lips were turning blue. She had been out of it for a while. "Oh, goddess! You poor thing!" Alpha healer Rex mumbled as he stepped into the dark room. He scooped Nora up in his arms and, using his wolf's speed, he ran straight toward the hospital. He placed Nora on one of the beds and quickly made the injection, an antidote he came up with after so many times he had to bring her back to life. He stabbed the needle in her skinny and pale thigh and pushed the antidote in. Nora gasped loudly as her windpipe started to clear up. Alpha healer Rex took a sigh of relief, he was able to save her again. Right after that, Nora closed her eyes. "Nora! Nora, wake up!" He screamed at her as he tried to shake her tiny and fragile body. But she remained unresponsive. Rex quickly grabbed the oxygen mask and placed it on Nora's face. He ripped her dress off of her body and covered her tiny body with a sheet. He quickly attached a few sensors to her chest to make sure she was okay. Rex was able to breathe again as he saw her vitals on the computer screen. They were low, but it was normal for someone so skinny and pale like Nora. Rex was stroking her curly brown hair that was too tangled up. "Oh, you poor thing. Sometimes I just feel like I should let you die. It will be easier for you. But you have to understand, I can't have that scratch on my consciousness once again. Not after my sister died." Rex whispered selfishly. The only reason he was always saving Nora's life was because his sister died because of the same allergies. And he was not able to save her because he always thought his sister was just being dramatic. Was it selfish of him? Yes! Nora called him a selfish bastard every time she opened her eyes again. Every time she left that hospital, she asked him to let her die the next time. But the guilt he had on his heart for his sister forced him to go against Nora's wishes. After a few hours, Nora opened her eyes again. She found Rex on the seat that was placed next to the bed she was on. Tears welled up in her eyes as she pulled all the sensors off of her chest. As she pulled the IV out of her arm, she winced in pain. That tiny sound woke Rex up. "Hey! Nora! What are you doing? You should be in bed." Rex whispered as he stood up from the chair. He was about to grab her arms, but she pushed him away. "You don't touch me. You did it again." Nora had angry tears in her eyes as she hissed at Rex. "I am sorry, sugar bear! I can't do this. My consciousness doesn't let me see you suffer." Rex's words only angered her more. She turned around and grabbed his collar. "The day I will be able to die in peace, I will ask God to make you suffer too. You will also have to beg for death every single time someone will save you. Then I will come to your dream and ask you how it feels like." Nora tried to yell at him. But due to her poor health, her voice was barely audible. Rex's eyes filled with tears. He never thought someone would curse him for saving their lives. "You don't understand, sugar bear." He whispered, turning his gaze away from her colorless eyes. Her eyes used to be the most amazing and different. They were purple and shiny as the colors in the rainbow. But soon, she lost the color of her eyes as well. "I can't understand. That's the best you can do. Can you save me from them? Can you take me away?" She asked him those same questions again. It was like a deja Vu he had to live every single time he saved his life. "You know the answers to those questions. Why do you even ask those questions to me again and again?" He asked her, pissed at those questions. "You are bothered by the questions I ask you. What about you? Why are you making me suffer again and again? What have I ever done to you?" Nora asked Rex angrily. "I only save your life." He growled at her, making her finch in fear again. "Yeah! You save me. Then send me back to where they torture me every single day. I used to have two meals a day. Now I am hardly eating leftovers and rotten food. Just poison me already." She hissed at him again. She tried to push him away but instead, she stumbled and fell on her bum. She whimpered as the bones on her bum hurt. "Oh my Goddess! Did you hurt yourself?" Rex asked as he tried to help her up. But she slapped his hand away. That impact only hurt her more. "Just leave me alone. You are my curse. I hate you so much. You are making me suffer more and more." She hissed again as she stood up. She was rubbing her tiny ass as she walked away. Rex's heart bled for her, but he was helpless. She was Luna's slave. And he couldn't go against his Luna. He knew well that she was hurting. Nora was an adult, she just turned 18 a few days ago. But with that poor health, she barely looked like a fourteen-year-old girl. Her long brown curls had been chopped off by Luna many times because her curls reminded Luna of someone from her past. Nora was limping as she made her way back to the alpha's mansion. She went to the cleaning closet. She laid down on the ground and curled up into a ball. "Daddy! I hope you will suffer from something that's incurable. And then you will come looking for me. But it will be too late until then. Because I am hopeful that one of these days, God will end my suffering." She repeated her prayer that she had been repeating every single night for the last eight years. She was shaking with pain. Her whole body ached. Especially her back. She took the beating from one of the maids again as per Luna's orders. At some point, even the other maids stopped pitying her. Because that always got them in trouble of they pitied Nora.
