THIRD PERSON'S POV:- A few days later, the pack was busy getting ready to welcome their future Alpha, the son of the Alpha of the Silver Lightening Pack. Alpha Owen was on the Moon. His son was coming back home after spending twelve years away from the pack and his home. Alpha Owen was standing outside the mansion. His heart was beating erratically and that excited smile never left his face. Soon, a car stopped right in front of the mansion. The driver opened the door and Alpha Owen held his breath. A tall young man stepped out of the car, smiling slightly. Alpha Owen opened his arms and walked toward his son. Alpha Owen engulfed his son in his arms. To him, it felt like he engulfed his son in his arms ages ago. "Welcome home, son!" Alpha Owen greeted his son, patting his back gently. A broad smile appeared on Tristan's face. He patted his father's back twice, then they both pulled away from each other. Tristan turned around and found a stunning woman standing behind Beta Alvin. She was peeping through her long lashes. Her cheeks were slightly pink. She grabbed a strand of her long blonde locks and pushed his behind her ear. "And who is this supposed to be?" Asked Tristan in a curious tone. Beta Alvin proudly smiled as he placed one of his hands on his daughter's back and pulled her to the front. "Try to remember her, Tristan. I know you can do it." Beta Alvin spoke in a low tone. Tristan was annoyed all of a sudden. He hated when someone tried to play games with him. "I am good!" He rudely replied and turned to look at the Luna. "Mother!" Tristan mumbled gently as he opened his arms and engulfed his mother in his arms. "Oh, my beautiful boy. You have finally returned home. I am glad." Luna Helena whispered emotionally. She started peppering kisses all over Tristan's face. "Alright! Alright! Let him breathe, baby. He just came back." Alpha Owen whispered, pulling his wife away from his son. Alpha Owen wiped the tears of his wife gently. "Let's get you inside. You must be tired and hungry." Alpha Owen whispered as he opened his other arm for his son. In his bedroom, Tristan threw his luggage on the ground, then laid down on the bed. He was staring at the ceiling while thinking about his life. After the heartbreak that he went through a few weeks ago, he just hated all women. He gritted his teeth in anger. Every time he thought about it, he wished for her to be in front of her, so he could do what he was unable to do weeks ago. "f*****g betraying whore." He mumbled, digging his claws into the mattress. After that heartbreak, he decided to go back home. Since everything about that place was reminding him of the game a woman played with his emotions. It was insulting to him. A light knock on his bedroom door pulled him out of the ocean of his thoughts. He growled in annoyance as he hopped off of the bed. He opened the door and an annoyed look appeared on his face. "Alpha wants me to show you around, since this pack has changed a lot ever since you left." Beta Alvin's daughter, Beatrice, spoke in a low tone. "I thought I was supposed to wait until lunch was ready. I thought I could rest a little." Tristan mumbled at her rudely. But Beatrice didn't mind him at all. "I know! But I also know that you hate lying in bed unless the sun is down." Beatrice spoke in a low tone and Tristan rolled his eyes. As if she thought she knew him one bit. But she just didn't. "Fine! Let's get over with it." Tristan growled as he stepped out of the room and locked it from outside so no one would enter his room. "You still don't remember me, Tristan?" Beatrice asked him in a low tone. "No! You are not the family that I am supposed to remember." Tristan growled in annoyance. "I am Beatrice! Beta Alvin's only daughter." Despite his rudeness, Beatrice tried to remind him of herself. Tristan thought about that name that sounded utterly familiar. He looked at Beatrice from head to toe. "Oh! Now I remember you. I thought you found your mate. What are you still doing here?" Tristan asked rudely and Beatrice's face fell. A minute later, she forced a small smile on her face. "We can talk about me later. Right now, I am taking you somewhere." Ignoring his questions, Beatrice tried to grab his arm. But Tristan took a step away from her, to maintain that safe distance that he wanted to have between them. They entered the park's hospital.. Tristan was looking around with a confused frown on his head. He couldn't understand why Beatrice would take him to the hospital. But he kept quiet and kept on following her. Until he saw that familiar silver eyes and brown skin. The man was oddly familiar. Even his body language was so familiar. "Oh my f*****g Goddess! Rex! Is that really you?" It didn't take Tristan long to remember that one person who always supported Tristan was to be whatever he wanted to be. And to never let people's judgmental gazes to change his mind for his future. A broad smile appeared on Rex's face. He walked towards Tristan and immediately engulfed him in his arms as always. "My Goddess! You have grown so much. You have turned into a strong and fine man." Rex commented, as always, trying only to speak positive. "It's been long, Rex. I almost didn't recognize you." Tristan spoke, pulling away. "Well, werewolf or not! Age gets to everyone. I am getting old." Rex replied teasingly. "Oh, come on! You are hardly a few years older than me. Don't be so dramatic." Rex spoke in an annoyed tone. Rex and Tristan started laughing and Beatrice smiled cheekily. She knew if anyone could put a smile to that ironed face, it was Rex. All of a sudden, a nurse came to Rex, running as if she had an emergency. "I am sorry for interrupting, alpha. But we have a situation. It's Nora again." Said the nurse as she tried not to panic. Rex didn't wait another second. He signaled the nurse to lead the way, and ran after her. That offended Tristan a little. Alpha healer or not, he was expecting some more time with Rex. Just to catch up like two brothers. Tristan followed Rex, gritting his teeth in annoyance. He entered the room, only to find a cute little girl shaking violently and scratching her neck until it started bleeding. Tristan was so lost in her face, he forgot about his anger for a while. "Oh, Goddess! I saved her again." Rex's grateful words brought Tristan to reality. "Oh, Tristan! What are you doing here?" Rex asked as soon as his eyes landed on Tristan. "So that's how important I am to you now. You used to sit with me for hours and listen to my BS." Tristan complained. Rex had always been a big brother to Tristan. And it was the first time Rex had prioritized anyone else over Tristan. "I am sorry! I didn't mean to offend you. But this poor thing, I had to save her. I can't let her die." Rex replied to Tristan on a low tone while stroking Nora's head so gently. Tristan looked at her. He saw her pake skin. He saw her skinny body. He saw bruises on her body. He saw her tangled up hair. And there was non an ounce of sympathy in his eyes for Nora. "Whatever she is going through, she deserves it. What else?" Tristan carelessly shrugged his shoulders as he spoke those cruel words. He heard Rex tsk in a disappointed way. "I couldn't imagine you would be anything like her. I always thought you would be a king man like your father." Rex growled at Tristan for the first time. "Tristan! Let's go! We can come back later." Beatrice tried to pull Tristan out of the room. But Tristan pushed her out of the room. "Get out!" Tristan growled, then shut the door on her face. He turned around and walked toward Rex. "What! She is your new little sibling?" Tristan asked angrily. Rex was one person who never placed any conditions in the friendship Tristan and Rex had. He felt offended. "Goddess! Look at her Tristan. How old do you think she is?" Rex yelled at Tristan for the first time. Tristan shrugged his shoulders again as he looked at Nora. "Thirteen or fifteen, maybe. Why? Is she your girlfriend?" Tristan asked. "Goddess! No! Tristan! This girl is eighteen, but your mother has been starving her for years." Rex growled at Tristan angrily. Tristan's eyes widened in shock as he heard Rex accusing his mother of something Tristan knew his mother would never do.
