It was a peaceful day. I was satisfied with the progress of the work, so I went to the alpha’s office to attend to some of the paperwork. However, when I received an urgent mind link from one of the security officers, I knew peace was disrupted. I opened a window, channelling my alpha senses. The commoners walking on the street were oblivious to the chaos unfolding near the border, but I felt a difference in the atmosphere.
