Amara's POV
We only live once, so enjoy the life when you still have time to live.
My life was just fine until the day I found out that I had a heart problem, my life isn't the same anymore, rather it's a mess..it's really hard for me to accept that soon I'll be gone from this world leaving everything behind, especially the love of my life, Kevin Lewis..who doesn't even know anything about my sickness.
My family had always been against my relationship with Kevin for he doesn't come from a rich family..they wanted me to get married to Jason Lawrence, who is from a very rich and respectful family like our family.
[ At the hospital ]
Annah ( Amara's Mom ) was walking non stop inside Amara's ward, while they were all waiting for the doctor to come and give them a feedback..
Amara: Come on Mom, just relax..the doctor will be here soon
Annah: Relax? Did you just say I should relax while you are in this condition! My only daughter!( She overreacted)
Joseph: Your Mother is right Amara, we can't just sit back and relax while you ain't okay at all..if the hospital won't find any donor for you to have a heart transplant, I will then have to go to any extent to find you one!
Amara: Dad not you too please, yes, even I want to live, for you guys and for Kevin too..
Annah: Did you hear that Philip's dad, your daughter has gone mad again! Kevin! Kevin! Kevin! I've heard enough of this boy..I can't even stand to hear his name..we are sick and worried here about her well being and she is busy thinking about that good for nothing boy!
Amara: Mom please, you watch what you are saying about Kevin..I love him, he may be good for nothing for you but for me he is my everything okay!
Joseph: and you watch what are saying to your Mom Amara..she is still your Mom, she knows very well what's good for you..Jason is a very good and educated boy, he is the right boy for you..
Amara: Even Kevin dad, he is very intelligent and educated..Mom come on, Kevin is the right man for me, if this is about money, then just give him some time, he will surely find a very good job one day.
Annah: I don't care about his money, I just don't like that boy, he isn't the right man for you my child..you need a man whom will take good care of you, and that man is Jason..
Amara: Mom I..!!( She paused as she placed her hand on her chest..her breath was becoming more and more heavier )
Annah: Amara, what's wrong my baby? ( She started panicking ) Doctor, doctor, doctor..( she called out a doctor ) Is it hurts? Is there any pain Amara, where?.
Doctor Caroline showed up at Amara's ward and start attending her..
That's when Amara's Parents went to wait outside and let the doctor do her work..
[ Few minutes later after she has done ]
Dr Caroline: Amara right? ( Amara nodded ) Look Amara, you have to be careful..your heart is too damaged, it can't take stress, argument and getting angry..you should also avoid drinking alcohol and eating unhealthy foods.. until we get you the help you need, finding you a donor that matches your blood type isn't easy at all, the hospital is trying it's level best..
Amara: ( a tear fell from her left eye) So Doc, let's say you find the donor.. what's gonna happen next? A surgery right?
Dr Caroline: Yes a surgery..
Amara: Is it safe? Is it Doctor? Is safe to remove another person's heart and give them one another's heart? Is it? ?
Dr Caroline: Miss Coleen please calm down..I told you to take it easy, you still have some time with your heart, as long as you also take care of it.. and of course I'm medical doctor not a surgeon, that's why I don't want to give you false hopes but if you also believe that " I'm gonna make it when I get inside a surgery room, " you surely gonna make it..
Amara: Doctor please don't tell my parents about all of this news you just said to me..I just don't want them to get even more worried..they are already suffering enough about this whole situation..
Dr Caroline: Of course, you are my patient and doctor patient confidentially..
Amara: Thank you Doc, so when are you discharging me..
Dr Caroline: Today itself..and please have faith and be strong okay..I will send your parents in, on my way out..( she then walked out )
