Present Day...

I sat within a private area of a feeders nightclub in New York that some baby vamp had recently opened... I always stayed within the shadows and kept myself to myself.

Being close to 2,000 years old would be a huge asset to the Vampire Council that was created 500 years ago to keep everybody in line but politics were never part of my interests...

These vampires started your rumours about mirrors, garlic and holy water to hide our existence.... We can be seen in mirrors, garlic does not do anything to us and holy water is just water. Sunlight does destroy us but many of us have daylight jewelry to help with that, silver is a huge weakness of ours and burns us just by the touch, along with a herb called vervain that is now quite rare (thanks to the vampires) and we survive off blood, we can eat and drink human food, alcohol etc but we cannot enjoy it as we used to... Alcohol helps with cravings of human blood and helps us blend in, especially with our vest hunting grounds... Bars.

I would normally observe people in feeder clubs, I would watch every persons moves carefully... How they act, what they drink, if they smoke... It would help with me picking my dinner for the evening, a humans lifestyle would have a huge impact on how their blood tastes, the purer the blood... The sweeter it tastes. I was always very picky but unfortunately sometimes I had to expand my palette as a girl has to eat.

Within a feeder club, you had your staff feeders... These knew of vampires but only worked 2 nights a week for a year, they would be compelled to forget, given a large sum of money and sent home. Then the humans who knew of vampires but went for the pleasure and would not receive payment for their services. Then, you'd have the humans that had no idea what kind of place they had stumbled into, these people would assume it was just a gentlemens club at first... No feeding was ever conducted in public, this offence would be punishable by death and this is what the private rooms would be used for.

I tried to pick the purest human I could find within any establishment I went into, I would only ever compel them to forget... Id rather seduce them into being my meal rather than forcing them. Normally, I'd try to stick to stealing blood bags from hospitals but vampire hunters have started to target any location they believe vampires to be residing.
