“J-Jungkook?” Jennie stuttered.
“You recognized my voice, I’m flattered.” Jungkook said as he smirked.
“Get away from her.” Lisa scowled at Jungkook, walking closer to them.
“Jungkook!” Taehyung, Jungkook’s nurse, yelled to stop him. “Jungkook, let go of her, please.”
“Stay back!” Jungkook aggressively said, tightening his constrict around Jennie’s neck.
“Jungkook, please...” Jennie weakly begged as her eyes started to filled with tears in fear. “I’m sorry. I’ll do anything for you, just don’t hurt me.” She pleaded.
“I warned you, Jennie. Why didn’t you listen to me?” Jungkook said.
“Jungkook, let’s get you back to your room, shall we?” Taehyung said in a calm tone as he cautiously walked closer to him.
“I said stay back!” Jungkook yelled as he pointed a sharp and pointy stone on Jennie’s neck. The latter squeezed her eyes shut in fear as she was silently praying. “If you come any closer, I will slit her throat!” He warned.
When Lisa saw what Jungkook did, she grew weak, everything felt like a déjà vu to her. Her sight began to blur with tears as she was watching Jennie being held by Jungkook.
“What’s happening here?” Mr. Choi interfered and people started to gather around. “Jungkook, put that away, please.” He slowly took a step back as he gave Taehyung a nod as a signal. The latter nodded then rushed out of the scene.
“One more step!” Jungkook yelled as he poked the pointy stone on Jennie’s neck. “One more step and she’s dead.”
As much as Lisa wanted to do something and save Jennie, she couldn’t move her body. Jennie managed to look at her.
“S-stay strong, Lisa.” Jennie said, enough for Lisa to hear and the latter hung her head low as she started to shake.
“Jungkook, please stop this.” Taehyung said.
“What do you want from me?” Jennie asked Jungkook as her voice broke.
“I want you.” Jungkook answered.
“Jungkook, you know I—”
“I said I want you!” He yelled in Jennie’s ear and the latter swore her ear began to ring.
“A-alright. What do you w-want me to do?” Jennie asked as she tried to keep herself calm.
“Kiss me.” Jungkook said.
“Stop this.” Lisa said, trying to sound as stern as possible, clenching her fist.
“You can choose, Jennie. Kiss or kill.” Jungkook whispered in Jennie’s ear.
“I-I’ll...kiss you.” Jennie mumbled.
“You will?” Jungkook asked and Jennie hesitantly nodded and he then threw Lisa a triumphant smirk.
Lisa felt her heart clenched but she understood that Jennie chose to kiss him to survive. As Jungkook losen his arm around Jennie’s neck, Lisa moved her head away as she closed her eyes, her hands shaking and her knuckles turning white. Jungkook made Jennie turned to face him, he cupped her face. Jennie gulped nervously, bracing herself for what was going to happen next.
“Promise me that you’ll live with me when I get out of here. We will start anew. I‘ll take care of you.” Jungkook said, staring straight into Jennie’s eyes. Jungkook slowly moved his head closer to Jennie as he closed his eyes. The latter squeezed her eyes shut as she waited for the worse to happen.
But before Jungkook could even land his lips on Jennie’s, they heard a shout. Jungkook opened his eyes and turned his head, his face met Lisa’s fist causing him to fall on the ground. Jennie was taken aback as she didn‘t expect Lisa to punch Jungkook. Jennie looked at Lisa with a worried expression. Lisa was breathing heavily as she was glaring at Jungkook on the ground.
“Lisa.” Jennie walked closer to Lisa to try to calm her, but before she could touch her, Lisa pushed her away hard, causing her to fall on the ground as well and Lisa walked closer to Jungkook quickly to give him more punches. Everyone gasped at what they were seeing and the male nurses tried to restrain Lisa immediately.
“Are you okay?” Jisoo asked Jennie who was teary eyed and the latter just nodded mindlessly as she was watching the other nurses restraining Lisa. “Let’s get out of here.” Jisoo said and helped Jennie get up and guided her to their office, leaving the situation to the other nurses.
Once they arrived at the office, Jisoo sat Jennie down and got her a glass of water.
“Are you sure you’re okay? Don’t you feel anything? Pain?” Jisoo worriedly asked and Jennie just blankly stared at the glass of water in her hand, traumatized from what had just happened. “You know what, I don’t really know if I should feel guilty that I insisted you to tell Mr. Choi about Jungkook.” Jisoo sighed. “I’m sorry, Jennie.”
“What’s worse could have happened if I didn’t report it to him, right?” Jennie said with an unreadable expression.
“What’s worse could have happened? Jennie, you almost got hurt back there!” Jisoo exclaimed. “Tell me what I should do to make it up to you, I really do feel guilty.”
“You don’t have to.” Jennie lifter her head as she gave Jisoo a plain smile. “What’s important is I’m fine.”
"Are you?" Jisoo asked and Jennie sighed and later on shook her head.
“I’m worried for Lisa.” Jennie said. “I saw fear in her eyes when I was held by Jungkook. It must have reminded her of Chaeyoung.”
“Why don’t you call this a day and rest for tomorrow, okay?” Jisoo suggested and Jennie answered with a sad nod.

The next day, Jennie entered the office with a weary expression. She didn’t really got to sleep well last night. She had been thinking about Lisa, she didn’t even had the chance to say goodbye that night or even at least assured her she was fine.
Irene greeted Jennie with a sad smile and the latter returned the gesture.
“How are you feeling today?” Irene asked.
“I still feel tired and kind of traumatized from last night.” Jennie said as she sighed.
“You could’ve at least take a day off if you don’t feel okay today. I’m sure Mr. Choi would understand.” Irene sympathetically said. “Oh, before I forget, Mr. Choi told me to tell you to come to his office. But you don’t have to feel nervous, he’s probably just going to ask how you’re doing.”
“Thanks.” Jennie said and put her bag on her desk before going to Mr. Choi’s office. She knocked three times first before entering his office.
“Ah, Jennie.” Mr. Choi smiled. “Please, have a seat.” Jennie smiled plainly as she took a seat. “How are you doing?”
“I’m good sir. Thanks for asking.” Jennie assured him.
“That’s good to hear.” Mr. Choi said. “I didn’t know Jungkook would be that aggressive. I shouldn’t have assigned him to you. I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright sir, accidents happen.”
“Anyway, the reason I called you here is just to let you know that I transfered Jungkook to another room away from Lisa’s so they wouldn’t meet each other often and I made schedules for the both of them if ever they want to enjoy outdoors without seeing each other. And don’t worry, I made sure Jungkook would never see you again. What happened last night won’t ever happen again, I assure you.” He handed Jennie a paper that consisted of Lisa’s schedule.
“Thank you for your consideration, Mr. Choi. I really appreciate it.” Jennie sincerely said.
“So, that’s all I want to say. Thanks for your time, Jennie.” Mr. Choi smiled and Jennie just smiled back and then she stepped out of the office.
Jennie first went back to their office to hid Lisa’s schedule in her drawer. She didn’t really have the time to care about the given schedule, she needed to see Lisa. And so after putting the schedule in her drawer, she went to Lisa’s room.
When Jennie peeked her head in Lisa’s room, she saw her lying in her bed, curled into a ball and her sleeves tied around behind her. Jennie worriedly sighed and she walked closer to Lisa and sat on the edge of the bed, stroking her head.
“Lisa.” Jennie said in a soft voice and Lisa glanced at her. She gave her a smile. “I’m sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye last night.”
“Are you okay?” Lisa wearily asked.
“Are you?” Jennie asked back and she helped Lisa to sit.
“I’m sorry I pushed you away last night. It’s just that...I was really angry. I couldn’t control myself.” Lisa said as she sadly looked at Jennie.
“You don’t have to be sorry. You saved me last night. Thank you for that.” Jennie sadly smiled.
“I didn’t. You did. You saved yourself.”
“But didn’t you think what worse could’ve happened if you didn’t punch him?” Jennie halfheartedly chuckled but Lisa didn’t react. “It reminded you of the past, didn’t it?” Jennie asked and Lisa slowly nodded. “I got to say you were really brave back there last night. I saw how you struggle but you still managed to do something to help me.”
But Lisa seemed to be out of words and Jennie got worried. Jennie lifted her chin as she tucked Lisa’s hair behind her ear. Jennie’s eyebrows furrowed when she saw a red spot on Lisa’s temple. She immediately but carefully swept Lisa’s hair on the other side and she saw another red spot on her temple.
“What did they do to you?” Jennie asked.
“They electrocuted me for being too violent as a punishment. Jungkook was there too. They always do that kind of punishment to anyone for being violent.” Lisa answered.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you.” Jennie sadly sighed as she caressed Lisa’s face.
“No, I deserved it. I hurt you.”
“You didn’t deserve it, they should’ve known that your intention was to only help me.” Jennie said as she kissed Lisa’s tip of her nose. “You are my savior.”
