Chapter 10
Cody woke up on May eighth feeling energized and ready to fight. He hadn’t gotten through May seventh in several cycles, so it was a massive relief just to wake up on his own without Miles popping in and planting a kiss and not knowing who he really was. Although it was the first morning that he woke up and missed being kissed.
He dressed himself and looked out the window, thankful for the pleasant morning. He could have been stuck repeating some winter storm in Alaska, but instead it was a nice early summer day in the South. There was no TV, electricity, or equal rights, but Mother Nature was fine.
