Cody woke up in the bed he now considered his and quickly got dressed. Miles entered and gave Cody a kiss, signaling he was truly Miles. After their typical morning greeting, they went downstairs at Izzy’s urging. It took Cody a few seconds to figure out which of friends was the young woman, settling on her being Adam, because of the scowl on Izzy’s face at Miles.
He’s so cute when he’s jealous. So Hayden’s Martha today. Wonder if he’ll kiss me to keep up the ruse, or to piss off Adam.
After breakfast, Cody continued his horseback riding lesson with Miles, who he liked more and more every day. Miles had a casual attitude and winning smile that was hard to resist.
