Chapter 16
Cody didn’t let himself worry about anything Friday. He woke up with his breath caught in his throat, but decided he had to take Greta’s advice. It was that or asphyxiate, and for the first time, he didn’t want that. Cody didn’t worry about his early morning gym class, which seemed to impress Mr. Gorski. He slapped Skyler’s shoulder before sitting with him in lunch and then beckoned Hayden over.
“You look like you snorted something really expensive,” Skyler said. “What’s up, and are you sharing?”
“He and Adam are officially dating,” Hayden explained. “I was there for it. It got loud and uncomfortable.”
“Only for you,” Cody said with a smirk.
“I want juicy details,” Skyler said. “Like full ‘dear diary’ deets.”
“Let’s just say that I’m officially a man now,” Cody said slyly.
