The following seven cycles continued just as the others had. Cody awoke, spoke with his friends in the bodies of Miles, Martha, or Izzy, and they attacked Talbot at various times of the day in different places and with different weapons.
Each time, the demon murdered them all, and he made it look easy.
Cody guessed that he’d spent well over two weeks reliving those two days. They’d tried sneaking up on Talbot with and without Rice’s help. In one go around, they even incensed Bartlett to order the slaves to attack the captain, but it always ended with their deaths.
