“I am so tired right now, I can’t even breathe,” Tim said.
“You’re the one to talk,” Lacy said as she walked up to Tim on the school’s lawn. “After I dropped you off last night I still crammed for about five hours. Have you spoken to Charlie?”
He was worried about Charlie, he admitted that, but he was also annoyed. With everything else going on, he felt bad for not reaching out properly to Charlie yet, but he was tired of seeing his friend hit his head against the same wall. Eventually you have to face your s**t and just man the hell up, as he learned last night. No one can be such a sucker for goddamn punishment.
