CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE Milo had to reach Eric to tell him he saw Linda on the news. The grainy video showed her throwing a small bag over her shoulder, while running from an alligator with gigantic teeth. The newscasters referred to her as a terrorist wanting to plant plastic explosives. A dive team had been summoned to locate the substance in the bag, but found nothing. As if it mattered, the reporters called the toothy beast a crocodile. And, either way, Linda was in trouble. Held for questioning until further notice, they identified her as Nancy Mulligan from California.
