“Kate? Hey…” Becca called out to me and I turned to look at her as I replied. When our eyes met she looked concerned again. “Are you really alright?” She asked me while sitting at my bedside.
“…………” I didn’t have a reply for her, I didn’t know anything anymore. “I’m sorry I came back for you so late from the party.” I just apologized for what seemed like the 100th time since the day before.
“It’s alright! I had fun and nothing happened. I was a bit surprised you left though. But I get it, you didn’t know what else to do but follow him.” Becca replied with such understanding and grace that it made me feel even worse about the entire thing.
“You truly are too good of a person.” I said almost through tears. I’d never met someone quite as selfless as Becca
