“You’re a really good student you know that?” Vanessa would take the time to praise me almost every time we’re done with a lesion. For the past month I think I’ve gotten more used to reading people.
“Ah… I hope so…” I gave her a half hearted answer because even if I’d gotten better at reading others, she still was difficult to predict. As much as she seemed sincere in what she did and said, there was always this pressing feeling of something more going on in the background that I was ignoring.
