The following day her alarm didn’t wake her up but instead it was the ringtone of her phone. “Ngh… it’s too early in the morning for anyone to be calling…” Marceline mumbled under her breath while turning to her side and grabbing her phone. She picked up and uttered just barely ‘Hello…’
“Dear, your brother is getting married! Isn’t that wonderful news?!” Her overexcited mother picked up the phone, instantly Marceline’s ears were flooded with sounds far too loud for her to accommodate so early in the morning.
