Chapter 1
A wave of dizziness hit me as I drove through desolate area, surrounded only by trees and bushes. I was ambushed earlier. By whom? Who knows. Could be my enemies who wanted me dead. I have many unfortunately, I can't decipher who amongst them.
I escaped as fast as I can like a mouse being chased by a big f*****g cat. I could've killed them all if I had a gun with me, twist their damn necks and engrave my name on their faces. That would be perfect, but I'm outnumbered, I don't have a choice if I want to stay alive.
I'm taking sharp turns and speed just to lose them but instead I'm the one who's lost now. I don't know where the hell I am.
The car suddenly stops, it runs out of gasoline. What a perfect timing. You'd suggest I'll call someone? Nope, my phone is broken, it was shot earlier when I tried to call.
A sharp metallic stench filled the car, it is suffocating, making it hard to breathe. I glanced down at my jacket and touch my stomach with my hand and when I lifted it up, my hand is now covered in a crimson red color shinning under the faint glow of the moon.
Looks like I was shot too.
I didn't even notice, not untill now.
Is this how I'm gonna die? A woman who's good at fighting died escaping from who f*****g knows who. Suddenly, I remember I have a emergency box in this car for this kind of happenings.
I get out of the car immediately and open my trunk and get the emergency box that I've had there in ages. I sit at my trunk, remove my jacket exposing the gunshot wound. I ready a tweezer, water, needle, bandage, and a clean cloth. I clean the wound with water and wipe with a clean cloth. I gasp for air as I try to find the bullet inside. Every breath that I take feels like I've swallowed thousands shard of glass. With every twist and turn feels like a knife pushing my insides but I manage to get the bullet out. The wound is so deep that I need to stitch it.
I rest my head in the car after I finishing stitching and wrapping my wound. I exhale deeply. I'm exhausted and dizzy. After resting for a bit, i get up and close the trunk. As I walk slowly towards the driver's seat, a big house caught my attention. There's this calling and aura that pulling me towards that place, in somewhat reason I can't explain. The curiosity takes over, and decided to go there.
From looking at the house, too big to be called a house– it's a mansion, an abandoned mansion. The exterior has faded and covered in vines and big bushes. I put my guard up and observe any suspicious movement and I notice nothing. But who would be here? No houses near by, no traces of people, nothing, just a secluded creepy abandoned place.
I went inside, not thinking that it could be quiet decent than what it looks like outside. The place is still intact, no falling debris, no broken windows, but it's empty, there's no furniture.
This place is stunningly beautiful though it's dusty, I mean it's abandoned.
I go upstairs and look around until I reach to the master bedroom at the fourth floor. It's very big—bigger than my room.
I noticed the design of this mansion is like old ancient vibe with a touch of modernity. I like it.
I open another door, it's the bathroom. To be honest, it's a big bathroom. It's the most clean place in this mansion, no spiders or any dust in every corner. I turn on the faucet and surprisingly there's water running. Like how could there's still be water running in this abandoned mansion.
Pinagwalang bahala ko nalang. I'm too dizzy and exhausted to think about that. I decided to spend the night here and by tomorrow I'll start making my way out of this I DON'T KNOW WHERE.
I go out of the bathroom and look for any fabric, shake the dust off, and lay it on the floor of the bathroom.
Third POV
Eya woke up in the middle of the night, dizzy and freezing. Though wala namang bintana sa bathroom pero nilalamig siya. She grabs her jacket and put it on, but she's still feeling cold and her head beating hard. She got a glimpse of the bathtub and have this crazy idea.
She slowly gets up clinging to the edge of the bathtub, bearing the pain all over her body. She opens it, and turn on the heater, and wait for it to fill.
She hears a faint ringing in her ear as everything spins and getting blurry. She rests her head on the edge of the bathtub and closes her eyes. She was fine earlier, a little rest would be good, but she didn't expect her condition to be this bad.
I've imagined to die fighting not while I'm escaping. What a joke.
She stepped in as soon as it fill, still wearing her clothes. The warmth eased her trembling body, bringing a brief sense of calm. She leaned her head back and let her eyes close, letting exhaustion take over.........but relaxation turned into unconsciousness. As her body relaxed, her head slowly dipped into the water. The once clear water stained into crimson color.
She grabs onto the edge of the bathtub, helplessly pulling herself up as she gasped for air. Water spills over the sides, splashing onto the floor and her breaths shallow and unsteady.
Every desperate breath she takes matches with the pounding of her heart, pounding like a drum in her chest trying to catch her breath. But confusion paint her face when she notices where she is. The once dark and foggy bathroom became bright and warm, the wall is painted, with furnitures and lights.
It looks like she's in different place, a different bathroom.
Where the hell am I?
As she's lost in confusion, she hears a commotion to her side and averted her eyes. She saw five men on black clothes fighting against another man who's wearing nothing but a towel Suddenly, one of the men in black noticed her. His gaze locked onto hers, filled with a deadly intent, as he rushed towards her.
What the f**k is going on!
