Lindsay was sitting on the couch with her dog Crook curled up beside her. She had been watching a movie that was supposed to be fiction. Right now, it seemed a little too close to what was happening in her county for her comfort. She absently rubbed her dog’s head as she looked for something else to watch. She settled on an animated movie for kids, hoping it would make her laugh. Just as she put the remote control down, there was a knock at the front door. When she stood and began to walk to the door, she saw it was John Lingerfelt. She opened the door and was greeted with an enormous smile on his face.
