With a heavy heart, I watched as her smile dropped and immediately a worried look was on her face.
“Damien is what?” she asked standing up.
How on earth do I break the news to her. She is going to break down badly and I am scared for her.
I need to think of a way to get her to see Damien without her breaking down.
“Damien was rushed to the hospital because he had a running stomach. We need to go see him right now.” I lied to her.
“What? A running stomach? But I was careful with the amount of sugar he will take. How then does he have a running stomach? And why was he rushed to the hospital without them bringing him to me?” she asked.
Now I don't have any answer to her questions. I wonder how am going to answer her now.
