Chapter 1
Brielle Adams skipped across the corridor, whistling a happy tune.
Finally after one year away from each other, she was going to see her boyfriend. Brian bad been her senior in high school and after graduation, he had gone to college leaving her alone.
She had worked super hard and done two jobs just to raise the money to be in the same college as him and now finally after one year separation, she was going to share the happy news with him.
She knocked on the door and waited for an answer. She had texted him earlier and asked about his plans not wanting to ruin her surprise. He had told her he didn't have classes and would be in his dorm room all day.
She frowned and knocked again, leaning her ear against the door to pick up sounds but it wasn't wood and she didn't hear anything.
She turned the knob and giggled as it gave way. “Well I guess I can just walk in then,”
She opened the door and let herself in.
“Brian, I'm here. Did you…?” The rest of her words got stuck in her throat as she turned towards the bed and saw two people caught in the heat of passion, moans and grunts a clear indication of what was happening.
“Brian!” She yelled, covering her mouth with her hands as tears began to roll down her cheeks. “How could you do this to me?”
Brian sat up and his eyes widened as he stared at her. “Babe, Brielle, what are you doing here?” He stammered as he looked from her to the girl lying in bed beside him anxiously.
“I hate you,” she screamed and ran out of the room.
Brian jumped off the bed and ran after her. “Brielle wait, I can explain!”
But it was useless. Brielle had disappeared down the corridor and he wasn't well dressed to run after her.
“f**k!”
“Call me when you sort that out,” the girl who had been naked in bed with him a few minutes ago shoved him out of the way as she walked towards her own dorm.
Brian ran a hand through his hair and walked back into the room, slamming the door behind him.
He grabbed his phone and dialed Brielle’s number. It rang several times and no one answered it.
Quickly he threw on some clothes and ran out in search of Brielle.
Meanwhile, Brielle had gotten to her dorm and she slumped on the bed, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.
How could he have betrayed her like that?
The door of the room opened but Brielle didn't bother to check who it was, too heartbroken to care.
“Hey, classes were so hectic,” her blonde roommate, Jessica announced as she walked into the room. “Did you complete registration yet?”
The image of Brian in bed with that girl kept replaying in her mind and she shrugged it off.
“Hey, what's wrong? Are you crying?” Jessica sat beside her and touched her arm.
Brielle looked up as she was pulled out of her thoughts. She wiped her face and slipped on a fake smile. “Hey, when did you get back?”
“What happened?” Jessica asked, ignoring her question.
“He cheated on me.” she replied as fresh tears began pouring down her cheeks.
Jessica understood who the he she was talking about was because Brielle had filled her in on how she couldn't wait to see him..
“I told you these men can't be trusted.” she sighed and patted Brielle's lap. “He's not worth your tears girl, it's his loss.”
Brielle shook her head and placed a hand on her chest where her heart was beating fast. “I'm in so much pain Jess.”
Jess's face softened at her words and she pulled Brielle's lean body into her arms for a warm embrace. “I'm so sorry he did that to you. He doesn't deserve you.”
They sat there quietly with only the sound of Brielle's sobs filling the space between them.
Jessica jumped suddenly forcing Brielle to sit up with a frown. “I know what we can do!” She grinned as she reached into her bag and pulled out a flyer. “We should go to this party,”
Brielle narrowed her eyes and shook her head. “No, I don't feel like partying.”
Jessica rolled her eyes. “All the more reason to attend,”
Brielle shook her head stubbornly. “No really, you should go though.”
“Come on! It will be fun and you can drink and forget about that stupid boy.”
Brielle bit her lips, considering it. “I can't believe I'm even considering this,”
Jessica threw her hands in the air. “Come on!”
“Fine fine,” she finally gave in and Jessica let out a cry of victory. “I don't have anything to wear.”
“I got that covered.” She grabbed Brielle's hand and pulled her towards their dresser. “Come on, time for hair and makeup,”
Perfect curls, two hours of makeover including wardrobe changes later and two gorgeously dressed ladies stepped out of a cab in front of a club that was well lit.
“I've got it,” Jessica quickly settled the bills while Brielle took in the club's exterior.
She had never been a party girl and this would be her first party asides birthday parties back home.
“Come on, we should get drunk first,”
Brielle grimaced at the idea but let her roommate drag her to the bar anyway where the bartender was putting on some kind of show for his customers.
“He's hot,” Jessica whispered in her ear as they reached the counter.
Brieille rolled her eyes but she had to admit it even if just to herself. He was hot and from those taunt muscles she could see peeking out of his shirt, he worked out.
“What can I get for you ladies?”
“Your number,” Jessica said in a flirtatious tone and Brielle groaned. “And a drink for my friend here. She needs to get wasted!”
Brielle accepted the tequila cup that he slid her way and downed it without blinking. She gagged as it burned her throat and tears welled up in her eyes. “Keep em coming!”
An hour later, Jessica pulled a drunk Brielle to the dance floor. “Let's dance away our sorrows and broken hearts!”
They grinded against each other, screaming and laughing hysterically as they moved their bodies in time with the beat.
“Mind if I join you?”
