I lay in bed, still thinking about what had happened today. Nina still hadn't come back home, but that wasn't unusual. My mind wandered to Jayden and the phone call that had left me feeling uneasy. I had seen his apology message, but I had decided to ignore him. He wasn't worth my time anymore.
I couldn't believe I had called him and almost told him that I wanted him. What was I thinking? I was kind of glad that Yvonne interfered. Also, I had almost blocked him, but something had held me back.
Just then, a knock at the door broke the silence. My heart skipped a beat, wondering if it was Jayden. I slowly got out of bed and made my way to the door, whispering, "Who is that?"
The voice on the other side replied, "It's me, Colby."
I quickly opened the door to find a smiling Colby
