Brunch

TJ's POV:

I woke up to my phone ringing. It was Angel, my girlfriend. She had left last night after meeting the clique.

Hey baby, are you just waking up? Angel questions.

Yeah, we were up until about 4am, and I'm not going to lie, I have a mean hangover. We ate and then decided to play a few rounds of beer pong, and have you ever drunk edition and a few other games... It was fun as f**k though. I reply to her honestly, I look over at my nightstand and grabbed the tylenol and water. I make a mental note to thank Bishop. He always sits them out for me before we go to bed after a long night of drinking.

Angel, tells me to take something and drink some coffee. It'll help she says. I tell her I just took something, and I'm going to make some coffee. She giggles and tells me I should get right on that. I look at the screen and see it's 11:30 already and get out of bed and make my way to the bathroom, careful not to fall over the air mattresses on the floor that held a sleeping Bishop and Nick. I check the other bedroom to make sure that the girls are okay, Liz and Tara are sleeping peacefully. I head over to the kids' room to make sure they're alright, completely knocked out and I just smile.. I head over to the bathroom and do my business, Brushing my teeth and washing my face and hands before exiting. I descended the stairs as I get closer to the bottom I smell so many delicious scents in the air. I stop in my tracts as took in the sight of this amazing spread of breakfast. There are so many items neatly placed along the table, waffles,eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins, bagels, cream cheese and butter set beside them, hash browns, home fries, grits, and an assortment of fruits. Orange juice, apple juice, water and coffee set between the spread so everyone could reach. The table is set with plates and silverware and cups. My girlfriend walks from the kitchen to the dining room with a hot cup of coffee for me, she walks over to me, kissing me so sweetly. I am in a state of amazement & shock My girl is absolutely amazing, How the hell did she manage all this so quietly? I set my cup down and pulled her in for a hug and kissed her passionately. Thank you for doing all of this baby. I kiss her once more. She just simply smiles at me and says" you're welcome. I figured you guys might be hungry and too hung over to cook. I ask her " How did I manage to get so lucky to have a woman like you? I smiled at her and tell her I'll go wake everyone up. I grabbed my cup before heading back upstairs. Once I woke everyone up, starting with the kids, & they all had the chance to use the bathroom and brush their teeth, we head downstairs together. I led the group just to make sure I was able to see the stunned look on their faces, the same look that I had held just minutes prior. Everyone walks over and takes a turn hugging Angel and thanking her for this amazing and thoughtful breakfast. We all took a seat and "cheers" clinking our glasses together to an amazing night we all so clearly needed.

Tara and I help the kids make their dishes, and they begin to eat happily with their selection. Everyone is enjoying themselves and impressed by Angel's skills in ther kitchen & The incredible mimosas. The kids finished quickly and asked if they could watch TV until we were done and I didn't see a problem with that so they sat in the living room enjoying their show and juice.

Liz: So uh.. Whats the story with you guys? I mean we all shared our story on how we all met and I really am interested in you guys story.

TJ says: Okay so We actually met on Social Media, Black book dating She messaged me and I waited two weeks to respond. When I finally did respond, She said "HEY, your cute", which I replied, I think your cute too. From there, the conversation just grew along with my attraction and eventually feelings for her. In November we had planned on meeting in person but doe to an unexpected illness we had to cancel plans, I really hated having to reschedukle I needed to meet this girl. In December her family member passed away which meant she had a funeral to go to so after the funeral, she decided on a whim that she needed to see me and I really wanted to comfort her so she drove out to my house, to pick me up so we could be together. What was supposed to be one day, led to a whole marvelous weekend together. She drove me home, and I have to admit, being without her just didn't feel right. Her birthday was two weeks away and I made plans to surprise her by showing up on her birthday and that day I had decided to formally ask her to be mine, I didn't want to spend another moment without being her's.

I came out every weekend following that just to be close to her. January rolled around, the month of my birthday. My birthday is exactly which is 3 weeks after her birthday. I had realized within this time that I couldn't live without her, she is mine, she completes me and I had planned to propose. I came out tot spend my birthday with the only person I wanted to spend it with, it was a beautiful birthday one i will never forget, so two day had passed and I decided today is the day, We went out to eat to celebrate my birthday and meet her friends, After dinner. I got down on one knee with this beautiful ring that mirrors her beauty, and asked her to marry me. funny part is she actually thought I was drunk and didn't mean what I said, she had humored me by saying yes!, but what she didn't realize is I have never meant anything more in my life. As my Valentine's day gift I rented this adorable apartment just for us, to start fresh until we have enough to buy our own home. That was exactly 1 year ago today. We have spent one year together, and we have forever to go. Angel leans in and kisses me, she says 1-year-baby! Happy 1-year anniversary my Love

We all Aww in unison. Liz said what we were all thinking, we are just so honored to celebrate this anniversary with you guys. It's adorable and so sweet. I'm so happy for you guys!

Tara POV:

We finish having brunch and help Angel and TJ clean up and put the remaining food away. We all decided since we took the weekend off to spend it together, We talked during brunch about what to do this weekend and came up with the plan to head into the city, New York was only two stops away and we all wanted to shop and enjoy ourselves. After I get the kids bathed and dressed, TJ offered to take the boys to play a little football and promised not to let their outfits get messy. Angel wanted some bonding time with Nell, so they went to TJ's room to paint their nails and watch a movie while I got myself together and gave me some time to digest the things weighing on my brain. Bishop drove Liz back home as she had to get back to her family to deal with something going on there and called us to tell us he was going to spend time time there and will be back before it's time to head out.. Nick got the green light on spending the weekend with us since she was heading out of town with her mother today anyway, for the remainder of the weekend.

I stepped inside the bathroom after laying out my outfit for the day, I turned on the shower and let the hot steam engulf the bathroom. I let my hair down out of the messy bun it was in, my long curls cascaded down my back. My hair was to the middle of my back due to the curls. I undressed and stepped into the shower, singing in content as the hot water ran down my body.
