Few hours later we got to our uncle's apartment it was a very potable house a bungalow to be precise but it wasn't as beautiful as our house but it also beautiful and presentable . Alex thought as they came down of the car and went inside the house.

“ So now that you guys are going to be staying with me in my house” Sandra said boudly. Ella almost chucked because the word my house really sounded funny she knows it wasn't her house but her uncle's house why is she behaving like she owns the entire universe what an arrogant witch. Ella thought as she continued with her talk.

“You guys would have to wake up early in the morning , wash plates , clean the house , do the laundry and you Ella I can see your mother didn't train you well so I can do that for her for free let just say am paying my condolence to her dead body it not like she can come back to thank me but it fine” she said laughing drastically.

Ella could not but wonder if she knows something about her parents death because she is just just too evil how could she speaks about her mother like that.

She took them to one of the rooms in the house and told them to stay there for now.

“ You can stay here for now I will take you to where you actually belong when my husband goes for business trip tommorow and if you guys should tell him anything just consider yourself a dead meat you will be joining your stupid parents wherever they are and one last thing I don't want to see you close to my children have I made myself clear?“.

They both nodded and she walked out of the room.

“ This is going to be hell uncle Sammy is going on a business trip tommorow how would will cope still he comes back, this woman wouldn't hesitate to kill us before his arrival” Alex said terrified.

“ Everything will be fine if we can't handle it again we can just run away I still have some cash with me the one they gave us at the funeral we can still use that to find our way out of this place if the torture is too much for us to bear”.Ella assured Alex who tried to relax a bit. Just then Thomas who happens to be there uncle first son who is of the same age with Ella came into the room, with his face one could easy know he as his mother's blood.

“ You guys should better stop this stupid family meeting you are doing , God does work in a miraculous ways who could have thought you this lowlifes would eventually could and live in my father's house is that not so interesting” he said with a devish smile on his face.Alex immediately stood up angrily to warn him to be careful.

“ You have no right what so ever to speak to us in such manner it not like we wish to stay with you and if we have any any other option we wouldn't be here so you better warn yourself” Alex fired back at him as Ella tries to stop him from reacting because she does not want Sandra's problem.

“Alex calm down just let him be” Ella told Alex calmly

“You better listen to your sister or else I will turn your stay here to a miserable one”he smirked and walked out of the room. Alex wanted to chop down his head because to be sincere Alex as the ability to beat Thomas to a pauper even with his little age he as strong muscles which could suffocate snyone to make matter worst Thomas is very tiny thing which does not take Alex more than one minute to deal with.

“ You should have just let me handle him he thinks he could talk to us anyhow” Alex said angrily.

“ It fine you have to learn how to control your anger, we can't get into fight uncle Sammy wouldn't be happy if he hears about that”after hearing that from Ella , Alex calmed down because he knew his uncle is a very good man and he couldn't disappoint him.

After some minutes Sandra shouted Ella's name as if she as a death message for her.

This witch can't say she didn't hear my voice Sandra said angry

“Yes ! Am coming ma” Ella replied and quickly rushed to the sitting room. Ella got to the sitting room patting heavily.

“ So you didn't hear I was calling you since, don't let that repeat itself.Go into that kitchen now and do the dishes”. She said with a sign of authority in her tone.

As much as Ella hate going into the kitchen she had no other choice than to obey the devilish woman.she walked into the kitchen to met a mountain of dishes left unwashed and housefly feeding on the leftover. How could someone be this dirty even her mother who is always busy does not litter her kitchen like this she always make sure everywhere is clean with or without there help she hate dirtiness she misses her mom greatly. Ella started clearing the dishes then suddenly one of the plate slipped from her hand mistakenly. Immediately Sandra's heared the sound of the broken plate she rushed to the kitchen.

“ You have broken my plates what type of useless child are you, this is not your house that you use to do the way you like”. Sandra fired at Ella angrily.Ella just wondered how her innocent and gentle uncle married a beast as a wife.

“ Am so sorry ma It was an accident it slipped from my hands”before Ella could finish her sentence a very heavy and thunderous slap landed on her face she couldn't control the tears that ran down her face as she held her cheeks.

“You this mistake of a child you want to break all my plates is that how your useless mother taught you, you better finish washing that plates and clean the mess on the floor” she said and walked out of the kitchen.Kara who is the family's last born came to console her she is totally different from Thomas she is just like her father.

“ Am so sorry about the way mom treated you, no one deserved that please forgive her”. Kara pleaded while cleaning off Ella tears.Ella couldn't bring herself to hate Kara because she as being good to her so far.

“It fine dear you don't have to plead on her behalf”. Ella said as she wiped her tears and continue her work.

This little brat can't just keep staying in that room doing nothing I have to make his life miserable.thomas signed and went to met Alex in the room.

“Hey blockhead mom said you should go to the laundry and wash the clothes there” he said with a mockery face. Alex remembered what Ella told him about keeping his emotion in check.

“ Ok no prob” Alex said and walked out of the room leaving Thomas were he was standing.Thomas was not satisfied with what he said but he didn't say anything and followed him out. Alex went into the laundry and met a lot of clothes in the laundry he was shocked and imagined if they haven't wash their clothes in months because the clothes was just too much for just few days.

Few hours later darkness as started taking over the sky. Alex just finished washing the hefty clothes and looks so tired and hungry.he came out of the laundry to look for Ella just then Ella came out of the kitchen and they bumped into each other.

“Ella am so exhausted and hungry” Alex told her

“ Same here dear you know we didn't eat this morning am so hungry too”Ella said as they walked to there room. They didn't know when they slept off. Ella heard her uncle's voice in her sleep.

“ Don't tell me you didn't give them food , what type of human being are you for goodness sake why are you so cruel Sammy angrily shouted at his wife.

“ I didn't know when they slept off am I suppose to wake them up why are shouting at me” she stuttered back.

“ Go into that room this minute and wake them up to eat” he said angrily she had no other option than to obey her husband she went inside and woke them up.

“You guys should better get up and come and eat the food you came to this life to eat” she said as she twisted Ella ears. Ella quietly opened her eyes she was already awake even before she came to wake them up she heard everything they said in the sitting room she woke Alex up and they both went to the sitting room together.

“ Why didn't you tell your aunty that you want to eat you haven't ate anything since morning have you?” he asked both of them

“No sir” they both said he stared at his wife and she understood the message she went to the kitchen and dished out their food. She took it to the dining table and told them to come and eat.

Ella and Alex went to the dining table and ate their food in hurry they were so hungry. Sammy could not help but stare at the them he knows that there stay wouldn't be good because of his wife and to make matters worst he is going on a business trip tommorow which will last for one month he hopes they would be able to cope with his wicked wife until he comes back. After they finished eating they cleared their dishes and came to thank Sandra for the meal.

“ Take you so much ma for the food we are really grateful” Ella said politely

“ You are welcome “ she said with a fake smile on her face. Alex turned to their uncle.

“ Take you so much uncle Sammy we are so grateful for everything you have being doing for us so far”Alex said genuinely

“ You are welcome dear it late now go back to sleep “ he said and they nodded their head and went to their room.

“ I hope you will be a little bit nice to those kids they are my brother's children if your brain as become a little bit gazing due to the hatred you have in that your heart and you couldn't remember am just reminding you and if I should come back and I hear or noticed you have not be treating them well you wouldn't like what would come for you” he said and walked to his room. She couldn't argue with Sammy because he knows what he is actually capable of doing.She angrily banged into the kids room.

“ You guys should find yourself luck that my husband asked me to give you food I was planning to starve you to death , but don't worry you wouldn't be so luck next time” she said and closed the door in anger.

“Seriously this woman is not supposed to be called a human being she is so wicked and mean I still wonder how uncle Sammy met her Alex asked Ella who couldn't stop wondering the same thing.Shortly after they both slept off.

Sammy came into their room in the middle of the night with a note in his hands he knows it won't be easy for them during his absence so he wrote a note with money in it he left it inside their bags and went out of the room.

In the morning

Light shores into Ella face as she slowly opens her eyes to see her aunt staring at her like a beast looking for someone to devour.

“You better get your lazy ass up from my bed you this lowlife and get to the kitchen right now or who do you expect to wash the dishes for you”.She snapped at her and went out of the room.Ella quickly got up and woke Alex up.

“Alex! Alex! Get up now.I don't want her to come shouting at us again”.Alex gently opens his eyes and rubs his palm on his face.

“I don't know why she is always shouting am sure she is going to develop high blood pressure someday”. Alex said as he stood up and the both went out of the room.

Few hours later

Hey ! You come here! Thomas called Alex .

Alex didn't bothered answering because he just finished cleaning the house he was too tired to have any meaningless conversation with the dumbass.

“Are you deaf or what,can't you hear me calling you?” Thomas shouted at Alex as he turned to look at the spoilt brat.

“Why can't you just stop pestering me what your problem just imagine how you shouting you better don't develop BP(blood pressure) at your small age”.Alex said gently because he was too tired to even get angry at him.

“What did you just say now, am going to teach you a lesson”. He smirked at him. He took the blade on the table and tore himself on the wrist .

Alex was shocked he wasn't expecting him to be so violent just to get back at him before he could say anything Thomas started shouting for help.

“Mummy! Help! Alex wants to kill me” Thomas started shouting and faking tears.

Sandra got there within a twinkle of an eye. She was shocked to see her son bleeding she quickly rushed to him .

“How did this happen? And you stop staring at us and get the first aid kit” she snapped at Alex who was standing there quite confused about the whole drama.he quickly rushed to get the first aid kit.

Alex brought the kit and she immediately applied it on the wound thankfully the wound wasn't deep so it doesn't need stitching.

“So can someone explain to me what just happened here” she asked angrily. Before Alex could say anything Thomas started faking tears

“Mom, Alex did this to me just because I told him to help me clean my shoes” he said looking pitiful. Before Alex could defend himself a very hot slap landed on his cheek, it was so painful that he couldn't hold his tears. Ella was coming back from the market when she heard th sound of the slap she quickly rushed inside to know what was happening.

“ I know you are a very bad child but I didn't know you could stoop so low , how could you tore your own cousin with blade? You want to kill my only son for me right?” She started beating Alex .Ella rushed inside and saw the scenerio . She was shocked to see her brother crying she quickly rushed to save him from Sandra's hand .

“This psychopath you call your brother tried to kill my son , you guys are leaving my house today I can't keep murderers under my nose” she snapped at Ella and draged her to the room to pack all there loads.Ella was crying profusely and started begging her to have mercy on them.

“Please ma don't kick us out , we don't have anywhere to go and am sure uncle Sammy won't like it if he didn't find us at home”Ella said as she was being dragged to the room.

Sandra gave her a dirty slap she was so angry that any other word from Ella could be dangerous for her.

“How dare you mention my husband's name do you think he would want to keep you murderers?” she asked angrily and pushed her inside the room

“ Pack all your loads and met me in the sitting room , I give you just 2 minutes you won't like yourself if I come back here and repeat myself” Sandra said and walked away angrily

Thomas gave Alex a devish smile

“Do you think you can get away with the way you spoke to me , I told you I was going to teach you a lesson you better go get your things and get the hell out of my house”Thomas smirked at him . Kara who was standing and watching all the drama could not defend Alex because she knows Thomas would skin her alive if she dares try it. She went to Alex and helped him to the room because he was injured and could not walked properly .

“I am so sorry Ella because of me we have to leave this house”Alex said weeping.

“ You don't have to be sorry my dear , it not your fault and I know you couldn't have done that to Thomas”Ella tried to hide her pain and pet him.kara could not help but feel sorry for the siblings.

“ Am so sorry for everything you guys are suffering because of my family I hope you guys can find it in your heart to forgive us” Kara muttered geninuely .

“ It not your fault Kara and I know you are a very good girl you also have a good heart thank you so much for your care”Ella managed to uttered those few words she was too tired to say anything more Kara helped them with the packing and they all went to the sitting room.

“I thought you want to spend the entire day packing.Now I want you to get out of this house and I don't want to ever see you again do I make myself clear. Hand me your phone”She snapped at Ella .she handed it to her while shivering with fear Sandra brought out her sim card and cut it and gave her back the phone”

“Now you won't be able to contact anybody especially my husband she smirked at her and kicked them out of the house”

They were both crying profusely they don't know where to go how could life be so cruel to them like this. Non of this would have happened if there parents were still alive.
