“You are going to make me fall for you, that is impossible.” Jack said.
“I want you to focus on why you came here, and get rid of those feelings because it is never going to happen.” Jack said and walked away.
Betty, who has been holding her laughter, decided to release it until now, she looked at Ashley and saw how hurt she was. And she doubled the laughter.
“You are lucky you weren't fired”
Ashley went back to her office, and sat down slowly, she buried her head in her palm. Sobbing silently.
“I will make it happen no matter what happens, but for now I will avoid him,” she told herself.
When Jack came back to the office, he saw her head buried in her palm.
“Are you crying?” he asked
“No sir, I will be fine” she said as she raised her head.
“Why are you crying, but you can't come to a company to make your boss fall for you.” He said calmly
“When I came to this company, I never knew you walked here, and I never said I came because of that. I have been wondering why you are talking to me calmly since you heard what I told Betty, what happened to your coldness” she yelled.
“Nothing happened to it, I am calm because I know how you are feeling, if I should yell at you, you might do something that isn't good”.
Ashley checked her time, and it was past six, “Good night Sir,” she said and left.
“What happened to Iceman” he muttered
Ashley headed straight to the playground, it was beginning to get dark. She sat down on the same spot where she sat with her dad and sister, six years ago.
“Amaya you should come console me, am sad” she muttered
She remembered his words earlier .
“So that was what you came to do.”
“You are going to make me fall for you, that is impossible.”
“I want you to focus on why you came here, and get rid of those feelings because it is never going to happen.”
“A drop of tears left her eyes. It's going to happen. no matter what, I will make it happen,” she said and stood up and went home.
Jack was watching from his car, he signed and drove away.
Ashley got home to meet Betty by the door, her tears already dried up on her way home.
“Are you planning to start living here?” Ashley asked.
“No, but I want to spend my night here” she replied
“Alright come in,” she said after opening the door.
After they got in Mickey faced her.
“We have been friends since childhood and you think you can hide anything from me right?” She asked
“What are you talking about?” She returned the question slowly.
“You think I just came, I was coming from my boyfriend's place when I saw you entering the playground.
“I was about to go after you, but I saw that handsome guy from the ice cream shop driving behind you. I decided to hide and after a few minutes of crying you started leaving and he drove out.”
“So I ran all the way here, so you should tell me what happened if he hurts you I'm going to kick his ass and break his bones” she rapped.
“He followed me but why,” Ashley said.
“Wait wait wait hold a second, you mean after everything I said instead of you to tell me what happened you are saying he followed me.” She in Ashley's voice.
“I think I love him,” she said.
“Then why are you crying, if you think you love him? Mickey asked
Ashley explained everything that happened in the office for her.
“Is that why you are crying?” She asked
“Yeah, is it not enough for me to cry?” She asked
“Nope you are sure a baby, what you have to do is for you to make him regret his words” she said
“But how”
“By going shopping not with my money but your money, you will dress to kill.” Mickey replied
“But, I don't want to kill him” she said innocently
“I never said that, what I meant is that your dressing will make everyone's eyes on you”.
“But, I want only his eyes on me” she pouted
“You know what let this conversation end here.” Mickey said not ready to listen to any of her conversation.
William's Mansion
Jack came here for the past thirty minutes, but he has not spoken a word to William.
“What is wrong? you have been quiet for too long” William suddenly broke the silence.
“It's Ashley, I overheard her telling Betty that she was going to make me fall in love with her, I told her to get rid of those feelings and I left. I about going to my office, when I saw her crying and I don't know why am worried.” He said and sighed softly.
“And why will you be worried? This is unlike you, you don't fall in love, so why are you worried? I thought you are a cold playboy, get her out of your mind.” William advises him.
“I think that is what am going to do call a b***h for me, let me do some exercise today” Jack said
“That's my man” William laughed and called one of his slut.
A Mall
Mickey has selected 40 sexy clothes for Ashley.
“Don't you think they are too short,” Ashley complained.
“Do you want him to fall for you or not?” Mickey replied with a question
“You know I badly do” Ashley said
“Then stop complaining, alright”
“Yes ma'am”.
The clothes were calculated, and it was one thousand dollars. Ashley paid and they left.
“You are going to take some of the clothes, because you brought the idea.” Ashley said when they got to her apartment.
“Really, thanks I love you so much”
“Me too”
They cooked something to eat, and they sat down watching movies until they dozed off and slept.
The next morning
After Ashley took her bath, she came into the room where Mickey is Waiting.
Mickey dressed her up with one of the sexy gowns they bought yesterday, thank God for their office you wear anything you want. Hhhh
She looked at the mirror, and couldn't believe that it was her.
Wow, let's do this. They shook hands and left together parting ways outside.
Lucas' Spade Company
Ashley arrived and everyone was present in the down floor. Everyone turned when they heard the sound of her tapping heels.
Everyone was shocked. Betty, who was trying to enter the elevator, hit her head on the elevator, as a result of the long stare she gave Ashley.
Jack's mouth was opened, as he also stared at the beauty before him.
Ashley walked up to him, “Sir your mouth is opened” she said with a smile.
Jack closes his mouth, and face the others they are still lost in Ashley now transformation.
“What are you all staring at, get back to work, he shouted.”
And they all came back to present and continue what they were doing, some still stealing glances.
Jack holds her to the elevator, and they enter, leaving Betty who is still try
ing to get up.
“Sir, why are you holding me?” she asked.
What happened to Iceman? Why are you calling me Sir?
He said and Ashley couldn't believe her ears.
