“What are you still doing there?” He asked again, his voice bringing her back from her imagination.
“Hmm, Actually I was just checking if you have come to work, so that I can thank you for yesterday,” she said.
“Alright,” he said
She nodded, looking at him.
“Can I at least enter my office, you are obstructing me,” he said, his voice a bit high.
“Sure,” she left the way, and he entered his office. What was I thinking? She scolded herself and sat on her office chair, “why would I imagine kissing him, I don't want it to be obvious.” She said in her mind
The door opened, again and Betty came in, she was wearing a tight short gown, it gummed her body, that all her body shapes were visible.
“Hi, secretary, it is good to see you,” she said. Even a blind man will know she is just pretending.
“It's not good to see,” she replied
“Anyways, I am not here for that. We are going out, the CEO and I are going out and you are going to join us. We are going to a meeting.” she said and left.
“What, am I going to do now,” she muttered, she got her phone and started searching for how meetings are taken by the secretary.
10 minutes later
Conference Hall
Everyone is seated in their respective places, Betty is at the right hand side of Jack while Ashley is at the left hand side.
“Let's begin,” Jack said as he looked at Ashley and urged her to start.
She gulped down nothing in her throat, she stood up slowly, and began.
After few minutes, “and that is it,” she concluded
And everyone in the conference began clapping for her, she bowed her head in respect for them.
They all left the hall, and she saw William the manager on her way, “Good morning sir,” she greeted
“Morning, never knew you were this smart, keep it up.” He said
Thank you sir, she said and began leaving, while William fixed his eyes on her ass till she went into the elevator.
She entered and met Betty inside, she ignored her and went to stand in a separate place.
“Never knew you were smart, you might pass this one but there are other you will certainly fail. Betty said jealously, because her first time attending a conference was really bad.
“Alright, time shall tell.” Ashley replied.
“Look at you, not even classy yet we you are in same elevator.” She yelled angrily
Ashley just looked at her, and shook her head.
Betty was about to say something, when the elevator opened and Ashley stepped out.
“That b***h,” she yelled and was also about to come out, when the elevator closed and started going down back to where it picked her from, she failed to come out quickly. “What's all this,” she yelled frustratingly as she went down.
Ashley entered the office, and Jack was sitting in her chair.
Her heart started skipping beats.
“Congratulations Ashley, never knew you were smart, I thought all you know is to look for trouble. But I was surprised back there.” He said
“Thanks ice…, sorry thanks Sir” she said and scratched her hair.
“You wanted to call me that name again, right” Jack said
“No Sir, I just wanted to say you could get me ice cream as a token for being smart and surprising you.” She lied
“You can't lie to me, but since you want ice cream you can come, let go and get it.” He said and stood up
“That's my Ice Man” she said mistakenly
He faced her and saw her with her phone on her ears, he went to her and collected the phone.
“Now, what do you have to say?” He asked
“The person just hanged up sir,” she said
“You always have somewhere to lie on, " he told her. He gave her the phone and they left together, they entered the elevator which was just arriving. As they entered the elevator closed and they turned to see Betty as the elevator Started going down again.
“Not again” she said
Trump Ice Cream Restaurant
They just arrived, and Jack went to the server and took the two bowls of ice cream, he gave Ashley one and he took the other. They sat down and started licking their ice cream.
“So tell me, why were you at the playground drinking yesterday?” He asked but got no reply, he looked up and saw Ashley looking behind him so he turned to see what she was looking at but saw nothing.
“What are you looki…, " he was about to ask what she was looking at to see his bowl of ice cream with Ashley.
“What is my bowl of ice cream doing with you?” he asked.
“You told me you are going to get me ice cream, you got me the ice cream and you are licking it” she said
“But I gave you I bowed, and I took one” he said
“I don't lick one bowl of ice cream, I lick two” she said.
“Is fine, you can have it, I will go get any other one” he said and stood up
When he comes back, Ashley is about to round up with the second bowl she has finished the first.
“You love ice cream this much,” he asked
“Yeah, my dad used to get me some ice cream when he was alive.” she said sadly, finishing the last ice cream.
“They died at the playground, My Dad and Sister”. She said and started sniffing.
“I'm so sorry, " he said, "I have never felt sorry for anyone you are the first.” He said
“You can take this Ice cream that I just bought” he said
“No, it's for you, you haven't taken any” she said
“Alright I will just take it to my office,” he said.
They left for the car, the drive to the office was silent, when they got there Ashley took the ice cream and they got down.
They got in and entered the elevator, when they got to Ashley's Office, Jack stretched his hands.
“You can give it to me now,” he said, referring to the ice cream.
“What is that Sir?” she asked
“The ice cream of course,” he said
“But you said I can have it,” she said
You know what, you can have it to yourself. He said frustratingly and left.
Betty came out of Jack's office, and when she got to Ashley she dragged her out of her office.
“So you think, you can be going everywhere with the CEO right.?” she asked jealously
“I can see you are jealous. Let me put more jealousy into you then. I am deeply in love with him a
nd guess what am also going to make him fall for me, I promise.” She said
“So that was what you came to do,” the familiar voice said.
