Jack just left the house alone, and went to a quiet place in a playground. He sat there quietly, this is where his mother takes him to and they would have fun together, until his father restricted her from coming outside, because he claimed other men would stare at her. This was where he had planned to take her to, He smiled sadly.
Somewhere else in the playground, Ashley sat crying, silently this was where her father and sister died in her present. She sobbed.
Flashback six years ago.
“Dad, I want to ride on the roller coaster,” Amaya said. That is Ashley’s late sister's name.
Mr. Carlos looked at Amaya, “you are older than this you are 25” he said looking frustrated by her behavior.
“Dad is just for fun,” Amaya replied, making sure the look of her face will convince her father.
“What about Ashley you know she does not like that rollercoaster” he said
“Dad, you guys should not ride the rollercoaster, I have a bad feeling about this” Ashley said, raising her face from the ice cream she was licking.
“Dad don't mind her, am sure she's just overthinking,” Amaya said
“I have said my own” Ashley said and continue licking her ice cream
“Ashley, don't worry I will go with her, just watch us from there okay” he said pleadingly, he knows Ashley could stop them.
“Okay Dad you guys should be careful,” she said
“Thanks dear” Mr Carlos kissed her and Amaya hugged her.
If she had known it would be the last kiss and hug she would be receiving from them she wouldn't have let them go.
It wasn't upto two minutes when the roller coaster blew up, and it was only her Dad and sister that was in the roller coaster.
They fell from the roller coaster in an attempt to escape from the fire.
When Ashley ran there it was only her father who was still gasping for breath, “dad I warned you guys but you won't listen,” she said in tears.
“Am so sorry, Ashley, please promise me that you would bear your mother's name instead of my, please for your safety.” He said with difficulty
“I promise don't just leave me, please Dad please” she said all her face is red as a result of tears.
“I love you Ashley” and like that he gave up his ghost.
“No Dad Come back don't leave me please, Sis please come to me Ashley shook their lifeless body”
“What can I do without the both of you please I need you guys don't do these to me”...
End of flashback
Dad, I got a new Job, how I wish you were here, you would have celebrated it,” she said, finding it difficult to talk more, as a result of tears. “Thank you Amaya, it was with your certificate that I got this Job. I hope you are happy wherever you are” she said and uncapped a bottle of vodka. She started drinking.
“Jack her from his quiet place, what is she doing here drinking?” He asked himself
He walked to her and sat down beside her. When he saw her face full of tears, he was curious to know what happened.
She turned and saw him, “Ice Man what are you doing here?” She asked drunkenly.
“I told you not to call me that my name is Jack” he said angrily.
“Did you come here to scold me or to console me?” She asked and took any sip from her drink.
“I don't know why I came” he replied
She was about to take another sip from her drink, when he snatched it from her, and gulped down the remaining drink.
“It isn't meant for women but meant for men” he said
“You are going to pay for stealing my drink ice man, she replied.
“Yeah, am going to pay you five thousand dollars, are you happy now?” he asked
“Yes let me quickly call my account number for you sir” as she heard the word money she jolted at of drunkenness
“I thought you were drunk?” He asked
“Not when money is involved Mr Jack.” she replied
After she called the account number, he transferred the money into her account. She checked her bank to see the alert.
“Thank you so much Ice Man, I really appreciate” she said happily
His smile turned into a frown, “I thought you called me by my name few seconds ago”
“That was because money was involved.” she said sleepy
“I will let that pass, so tell me why you are here?” He asked
No answer came from her, and he turned to see her sleeping.
Wake up, he tapped her but she was still sleeping peacefully.
So he carried her, and in the process of carrying her his hands touched her ass. It was so soft that he had to gather all his energy to resist her, so he carried her to his car and drove straight to her house.
When he arrived, he carried her from the car, and took her purse to look for the keys and he found it. He got to the door and was about to open it, but it was opened, so he carried her in and he meant Mickey there.
He dropped Ashley in the chair, and he faced Mickey
“I saw her drinking on a playground, so I had to carry her here.” He said and left without waiting for her reply.
“Must he be cold whenever we meet?” Mickey said to no one in particular, after an hour Ashley woke up to see Mickey's eyes on her.
“How did I get here?” she asked
“So you went to the playground to cry again? after you told me you were going out to buy pizza.” she asked worriedly
“After buying the pizza, I noticed it was close by so I decided to pay them a visit.” She said sadly
Mickey hugged her consolingly
“But how did I get here?” she asked.
“It was the guy from the ice cream shop that day.” Mickey said
“Never knew he was this caring, after sending me five thousand dollars he still brought me home” she said as her cheeks flushed red.
“What do you mean by he sent you five thousand dollars?” Mickey asked curiously.
“As I was drinking in the playground, he came out of nowhere and he took my drink from me and drank it and I told him to pay it, and he sent me five thousand dollars” she screamed
“You see Ashley you know am your friend can you just give me some money, even if is five hundred dollars I will take it,” she said
“When it comes to money now, you will start begging, I will send you five hundred dollars.” She said
“Thanks, but won't you add anything for me.” she asked
“No I won't.”
Lucas' Spade Company
Ashley walked majestically into the company, she entered the elevator which took her straight to her office, she decided to check if Jack had come to his office. She looked into the keyhole of the door.
“But she heard his voice behind her, so your new job is to spy on me?” He asked.
And Ashley's heart started beating fast, she needed a plan. She had to act fast.
He started coming to her, and Ashley turned immediately and kissed him.
Making Jack's eyes almost fall from their sockets!!
