My palms were sweating, and my heartbeat was louder than normal. I was a nervous wreck. My emotions were all over the place, fear, anticipation, anxiety, and the list couldn't get any longer.
After twenty long years, we were about to meet, and we were about to breathe the same air. As much as I was looking forward to seeing her, touching her, and if she allowed me, kissing her, I couldn't help the knot that was tied in my heart. What if she hated us? What if she didn't feel the same way as I did?
Was she still in love with me? So many disturbing thoughts grilled my mind as I took unsteady steps towards her wing. She was staying in the palace, in one of the VIP guest wings, the best one we had, actually. Until we figured everything out, she was going to be our guest.
