Alita. Strange air filled the room. There was also the palpable silence. It was an uncomfortable silence, I could feel it. There was a wind of sadness in the air, too. It marked the second day since I returned to the palace from my fame-triggering mission. From the moment I set my feet into the palace, I kept receiving weird gazes. It was like people were seeing a different person in me. I became famous overnight. I could see the respect in their eyes as they looked at me. Some showered me with admiration and others with envy. I was not used to garnering so much attention. All I wanted was a hard mission to keep me distracted and away from Reagan, but I ended up receiving recognition for the success of the mission.
