Vivid Dream

Trixies POV Brad was limping through the forrest alone. I was watching from behind him. I kept calling out to him but he couldn't hear me. He was hurt and breathing heavily. He called out for help as he clung to a tree. I tried reaching for him, but I was being held back by something I was unable to see. I needed to help him. He stopped and looked to his right before screaming. Something rushed by him slicing his head off. His head fell to the ground in front of me. I screamed as he looked up at me and said, "He's watching you." I woke up screaming, and my heart was racing as I looked around the room. Empty. I gripped my sheets to make sure I was in my bed. I was trembling from fear still, tears streaming down. My face. I've dreamt of Brad since he's gone missing, but NOTHING like that. I'm trying to control my breathing, reminding myself I'm okay. Holding myself tight in search of some form of comfort. The emptiness of the room didn't help at all. I leaned over to switch my lamp on to fill the empty dark spaces with light. Glancing the clock, it read 5:03am. I calmed myself down and cursed at Paul for scaring me so bad it caused me to have a nightmare. It was supposed to be a simple week with starting to go back to work. It's been anything but simple for me. I don't know why I expected life to go back to "normal."" It wouldn't be normal till my husband was home. Deciding to get up for the day, I threw on my fluffy blue bathrobe and headed out to the living room. I turned on the TV to fill the silence with the news. I relaxed on the couch and scroll through my phone. The mess in the house taunted me, though. I got up and began cleaning the living room. Within an hour, I had cleaned up the whole house. I flopped back onto the couch, afraid I had wasted all of my energy for the day. I decided to skip my run since cleaning can count as exercise. I'll just take the stairs instead of the elevator today. I deserved a rest day after the restless sleep I had. The dream still stuck in my head, but I wasn't as afraid of it anymore. Time went by fast, and before I knew it, I was at work with my coffee. On time today, at least. After opening, I started on the woman's dress again. I should have it done before the deadline as long as nothing distracts me. I enjoyed doing this, I even considered designing dresses for everything that happened with Brad. After a while, I decided to leave my office to do a walk around. Several fittings were going on, along with briesmaids picking out dresses with the bride. All seemed well as I rounded the corner, bumping into someone, causing me to drop the coffee that I was carrying. Panic over came me worried I ruined someone's dress as I looked to see who I ran into. To my relief, it wasn't a blushing bride, but it was the man that kept vanishing on me. I stared up at him in awe. His s*x appeal still bothered me and caused my heart race. I hated that feeling, I'm a married woman. "I'm sorry." I said quickly as I bent over to pick up the cup. I half expected him to be gone once I stood back up. I prayed he wasn't a figment of my imagination, and I wasn't standing her looking and talking to someone who wasn't there. He gave an apologetic smile "No I'm sorry, I should've been watching where I was going." He said, looking me over I wandered why he was here, I looked around to see if there was a bride with him. She'd be pissed if she saw how he was looking at me. "Weren't you at the grocery store the other day?" He asked, bringing my attention back to him. I nodded slowly. "Yes, I remember you. You seemed to have run away pretty quickly that day." I paused for a moment."Is there anything I could help you with?" I asked, wondering if he had a bride with him. I looked around for a woman nearby, but no one was close enough to claim him. He gave me another smile "Well you can help me by letting me buy you another cup of coffee, considering yours is on the floor." He said, looking down at the coffee stain on the floor. Ignoring his question, I headed to the closet, grabbing out the floor cleaner. Sprayed it down on the carpet and began dabbing it with a rag. He cleared his throat after a moment, and I peered up at him. I didn't understand what he could possibly want from me? My wedding rings were in plain view, and we were two different beings. When it came to looks at least. "So how about that coffee?" He asked nervously. I found it odd that I could make a man like this nervous. He could get any woman he wanted. I turned my attention back to the stain. "I'm married." I told him sternly, hoping that would send him away. I heard him sigh in annoyance as he earned a glare from me. His emerald eyes were now blue, causing me to be on my guard. Then he quickly turned away and left the store, not as fast this time. I stood up and watched him leave. Jessie was standing near the register and watched him as well. Her eyes were wide, and her mouth was open in awe. She looked back at me as if shocked and then looked away quickly. I approached her. "Jessie, do you know who that man is?" I asked the usual chatty girl She just pierced her lip and said "nope" and walked away to look busy. Jessie knew something.
