Chapter One
Sometimes I feel like I have lived a different life from the one I’m currently living, a life I can’t seem to remember. A distant memory of bombarding emotions or maybe I’m just going crazy like my colleagues at work keep saying , not that they ever said it to my face but I hear the whispers and the looks similar to the one my mum is giving me right now cause I’m refusing to go on a road trip with her to God knows where . “ why can’t you ever do what I say “ my so called mother says Maybe because you are crazy and a disgrace to motherhood, not that I would ever say that out loud . She might be a bad mother but I still love her and saying that would hurt her even if she doesn’t hesitate to say hurtful words to me . “ cause I don’t know why you would want to go on a road trip in this crazy weather ” I say to her “Please Karen , I really want to do this . It could be a bonding trip” she pleads “ fine ” I agree because I could really use a break and a road trip seems harmless and I hope I don’t regret this decision of mine “We will leave tomorrow okay ? ” “Yeah sure ” Waking up to the obnoxious banging on my door made me wonder if the house was on fire but it’s just my mum banging my door like she had some issues with the door itself . I open the door to find her staring at me all dressed up . "Good morning baby , you need to get dressed or we are going to be late" “Hi mum ” ”I will be downstairs waiting ” she says leaving me standing at my door ”you never told me where we are going exactly ” I ask immediately the car was set to move “We are going to cherry blob ” “And where exactly is that?” I question feeling anxious about the name like I have heard it before or something “it’s a small town few miles from here Karen , we are only going to see a family friend ” “Family friend ? I never knew we had a family friend ” I ask but my mum refuse to answer choosing to concentrate on the road ahead instead leaving me to do nothing but think about the issue of a sudden family friend . My mum has never told me about any relatives , talk Less a family friend . I was told she was an orphan before getting pregnant due to a one night stand so there’s no way this is a family friend if my dad and my mom doesn’t have friends either , she avoided people like plagues .I look over at her to see her smiling like she’s the happiest person on earth and my mind felt at peace even though I’m really wary about this so called trip Finally we arrive at cherry blob and I finally remember why the name sounded familiar. I had to write a story about the town once for a school project In the heart of the sprawling, rugged landscape, nestled between rolling hills and dense forests, lay the town of Cherry blob. It was a place where time seemed to have slowed to a near standstill, and the echoes of life's bustle had long faded into the ether. Cherry blob was a town that wore its solitude like a well-worn cloaarked by a gentle rhythm, unaffected by the frantic pace of the outside world In the heart of town, there was a charming, ivy-covered café, its faded sign bearing the name "Hearthstone Café." Here, the few residents who remained would gather on lazy afternoons, sharing stories and laughter over cups of steaming coffee. The warmth of their camaraderie was a stark contrast to the town's overall quietness. Beyond the town's limits, the landscape stretched as far as the eye could see, untouched and untamed. Nature had woven its tapestry of emerald green and sapphire blue, a testament to the raw beauty of this forgotten corner of the world. Cherry blob, with its sparse population and timeless charm, was a place where solitude was cherished, and the past whispered in every gust of wind. It was a town that, though largely forgotten by the world, held a special place in the hearts of those who called it home, a haven of serenity in an ever-changing world. But In the shadowy depths of the forsaken town of Cherry blob , a sinister secret lurked beneath the surface of its eerie tranquility . The moon, as it rose in the night sky, cast an unsettling glow upon the streets. town was teeming with something far more ominous. Amidst the exquisite and peaceful life , a sense of dread hung heavy in the air. Strange markings adorned the street signs and buildings, symbols known only to those who harbored the unspeakable truth about this place. The townsfolk, long vanished or transformed, had left behind eerie tales whispered by those who dared to venture close. Underneath the silvery moonlight, a blood-curdling howl would often shatter the ghostly silence, echoing through the twisted alleyways. It was a sound that sent shivers down the spine of any who ventured near, for it spoke of something unnatural, something that prowled in the shadows. As the moon reached its zenith, the town would come alive in ways that defied reason. From the depths of the woods surrounding Cherry blob, creatures with eyes that glowed like fiery coals emerged. These nocturnal predators, known as the Children of the Moon, bore a curse that transformed them into fearsome werewolves under the moon's baleful gaze. In the darkest corners of the town they gathered, their human forms giving way to monstrous ones as their primal instincts took control. The town's eerie emptiness, once a refuge for these cursed souls, had become a haunting spectacle, a place where the line between humanity and the supernatural blurred. Cherry blob , a once-populated town, now concealed a terrifying secret—the presence of werewolves, creatures of myth and terror who roamed its desolate streets under the moon's unholy influence. The townsfolk were gone, but something far more sinister had taken their place, a chilling reminder that the night held secrets that dared not be spoken. Which is exactly why I’m scared and worried right now , what are we doing in this forsaken town!.
