Maxwell*
Sitting at my desk, I'm blocking out most of what my mother is saying. We haven't always got along. After my father passed, she's been down my throat a lot more than usual.
"You need to straighten up, son; you are now the face of this company." I lean my elbows on my desk and rub my temples. She acts like I don't understand these things. It's also not her place to control my personal life; I'm 24, for god's sake. "Can't you just give me a damn break?" She sighs and shakes her head. Deciding the argument wasn't worth it, I stood up and went to head out of my office. "I'm arranging a marriage for you."
I took what she said with a grain of salt and still left my office. We may not get along, but I'm still her son. I don't think she'll have the nerve to do something like that. Shrugging my shoulders, I grab my phone out of my pocket and send a text to Luke.
Man, I need to go out tonight. My mother is stressing me the f**k out.
I got you, man, we can go to the club.
Let's get laid. It's been way too long.
Alright, see you in an hour.
Standing outside of my office, I call my driver. The luxurious is our usual, and hopefully, there are some new girls there tonight. My bodyguard James follows me outside to meet my driver. "Sir, your mother has been calling me." I roll my eyes. I don't know why she thinks he is going to give her any info. I'm tired of her trying to keep tabs. "Ignore her," I say sternly.
Telling my driver to go to Luke's, I lay my head back and close my eyes. Everything is so damn stressful. I took this company over too soon. I barely know anything about software. I went to college, so I know how to run a company, but knowing nothing about software makes me look bad. Oh well, my job isn't to deal directly with it, but the business to keep it going.
We pull up to Luke's, and he is waiting outside. I open the door to let him in, and his strong ass cologne fills my nose. "Dude, do you have to wear it so damn heavy?!" He laughs. "Man, that's how I get the ladies. They can't resist a good smelling man." I pretend to gag and roll down the window. "What's going on with your mom, man?" Sighing, I look out the window. "The normal telling me how to act. Plus, she tried to slide in an I'm arranging a marriage bull crap." I laughed, and he looked at me with wide eyes. "I wouldn't shrug that off. That's a serious thing to say."
Pulling up to the club, I start to get excited. I've really been needing this. We get out and head to the front. The bouncer recognizes us and lets us through. I head straight to the bar. I need a strong jack and coke. Luke following behind, he pushed me on the mother topic. "Dude, what if she really is." It's starting to piss me off. "When then she'd be stupid to think I'll go along with it." He shrugs his shoulders and takes a sip of his drink. "Oh, my god, dude, look at that brunette on the dance floor." I look over, and she's dancing with another girl. "Go talk to her." He gives me a mischievous grin and does exactly that. I smile while taking a sip of my drink, watching him. Getting girls has really gone to his head. He's a good-looking man, but damn he's cocky. I watch as the song ends her friend walks away. She's obviously drunk, slowly walking to the bar with a wobble in her legs.
The closer she gets, the more I realize how gorgeous she is. She's of average height with blue eyes and long dark hair; what I'd give to have that hair wrapped in my fist, taking her from behind. Just the thought of it makes my d**k twitch. She looks back at her friend, causing me to check up on mine as well. He's trying to pull his charms, and all I can do is chuckle. I decide to move closer to her friend as she is sipping on her water. She leans on the bar and looks upset, so I couldn't help but ask what's wrong.
"Hey there. Why the sad face?" She turns to look at me, and the light from the bar makes her eyes glisten, and it gives me a weird feeling in my stomach. "My roommates found a guy, so I'm sure I won't be getting sleep tonight." I laugh at this, knowing Luke and her confidence in them hooking up, he's getting lucky tonight. I'll give her a bit of honesty. "Well, I might not be able to fix that. Honestly, I'm jealous; I'd like to keep you up all night." I give her a charming smile, and her eyes light up. I want her so bad right now, but I want her to sober up a bit. I don't want to take advantage of her being so drunk. It's not my style. I sleep around a lot, but I'm not a piece of s**t. I remember their names and get them breakfast. I don't kick them out right after. I hope I can spend the night with this beautiful girl. No one in here really compares.
