I keep sipping on water and talking to this gorgeous man. He's muscular and tall. His hair is dark and styled, kind of messy. He's got emerald green eyes and a chiseled jawline that I want to kiss so bad. The more I sober up, the more I can admire his looks. Oh boy, does he have them. "You are the most beautiful girl here." I highly doubt that. Kats here, and she is practically a model. It surprises me that she didn't go for that as a career. I sigh. "Thank you." He looks confused, raising his one eyebrow. "Am I making you uncomfortable I can leave you alone?" I'm letting my insecurities get the best of it. I know I look good tonight. I have a hard time with confidence. "No, believe me, I'm enjoying your company. I disagree; I can look out on that floor and find girls a billion times more attractive." He chuckles, lowering his head, and then looks back at me with a smile. "I don't think so, plus it's not all about what's on the outside."  I'm starting to feel close to normal. I take out my card and pay our tab. I am done drinking; I want to talk to the gentleman next to me until Kat figures out what she's doing. "What's your name?" It slipped my mind to ask, and I feel stupid. "Maxwell. What's yours?" Wow, that is a sexy name. "Abagail, but everyone calls me Abby." Smiling at me, he takes a sip of his drink. "That is a pretty name." Butterflies, I feel butterflies. "Do you want to get out of here and find something to eat? I am starving." Why is he drinking if he hasn't eaten? That's not a smart thing to do. "Yes, I'd love to. I have to talk to my friend." He nods at me, and I find Kat.  The damn girl is against the wall making out with the guy she met. "Ehm. So I'm going to take off and get food." I point at Maxwell, and she stops kissing long enough to acknowledge me. "Text me." She says while winking—what a pervert. Kat goes right back to eating that man's face, and I know for sure they will be at the apartment in the next 20 minutes. I roll my eyes and head back to Maxwell.  "I am ready to go." He smiles and takes my hand, leading me outside. A black car pulls up, and a guy gets out to hold the door. Oh, how fancy is this. Wait, is this dude rich? I hesitate a bit, but this is once a life-time opportunity, so I hop in the car. "Go to Prime 18." I am taken back a bit by his decision on food. That's a costly restaurant and way out of my price range. "I can't afford that place." I put my hand on his arm. "Don't worry. I got it." Letting my hand slide off his arm, I sit back and try to wrap my head around this night.  We pull up to the restaurant, holding his hand out to assist me in getting out of the vehicle. I don't think I am dressed for this place. It's formal attire, and I am wearing a slutty clubbing dress. He is in a suit and tie like he just came from an important meeting. I want to facepalm myself, but I don't want to embarrass myself any more than I already am.  The hostess finds us a secluded table right away, and I grab the menu. Looking at the prices, I almost have a heart attack. $40 for a damn stake, and that's the cheapest one. I really want the steak and salad, but it's so expensive. "Hey, seriously, don't worry about the cost; I got it covered." My eyes still wide looks up from the menu. "I can't ask you to spend this much. You just met me." He smiles. "I want to treat you, so please, take advantage and get what your heart desires."  When we finished giving the waiter our order, I looked at Maxwell. "So, where do you work?" I didn't really know what to say. My job sucks. "I am a secretary. I just graduated from Juilliard. I'm trying to make it on broadway. I'd be happy even if I end up an actress." He studied my face. "That's really good. Congrats on your graduation!" Hopefully, I'll be able to make it big. "Thank you so much."  As the waiter delivers us our meal, I ask him where he works. As soon as it comes out, the waiter gives me a shocked look. What's wrong with me asking? "I am the CEO of Novak Software." He chuckles, and I feel ashamed. I really had no idea who he was. The waiter walks away, giggling to himself. "I hope it didn't offend you that I didn't know who you were." Giving me a bright smile, my heart melts. "No, it's honestly refreshing to be around someone who doesn't think they know everything about me." He looks kind of sad and lowers his head a bit.  "Let's get out of here." My heart started to race. I'm super nervous to go back to his place. I nod to him, and he asks for the check. "Do you want to go back to my place?" Why do I feel like jello? "Yes, please." His eyes darkened as he grins.  Getting into his black SUV, it's a bit awkward with the driver. He knows what's going to happen. I know what's going to happen. "Hey, are you nervous?" I look into his eyes and start to giggle. "Yeah, I am." Leaning over to me, he places his hand on my cheek and moves it closer to the back of my head, tangling my hair in his fingers. He pulls me in and brushes his lips against mine—my entire body bursts into flames.
