Fifteen years ago It was very dark, the night air was cool against my skin as we journeyed through the forest to get Rionne to her new pack. The Silverbane Pack. I seek refuge for her with you” “I have been informed. Be rest assured that your daughter is safe with us here. I have twin sons who she’d grow up with” “Thank you Alpha, please look after her, she and her brother is all that I have left” I pleaded as the words breaks my heart. Gently, I pull Rionne out from behind me into a tight hug. “Be good for me baby, I will come get you soon” “Pinky promise mama?” “Pinky promise” I reply as I take her pretty little pinky finger in mine. She waves me good bye as I adjust Orion sleeping comfortably on my back. The Alpha picks up my five year old daughter and they both disappear into the trees along with the other wolves. Now I have to get Orion to another pack safely before he catches up with us. Arriving at the MoonFied territory, the wolves were already waiting. “Your son is safe with us for as long as you leave him here” the Alpha announces as he stretches his hands for Orion. Unstrapping him from my back, he shivers awake to the cold of the night. “Mama?” He calls out. “I’m here my little one” I say resting my forehead on his. “I love you more than anything in the world” He looks deep into my eyes as I quickly passes him to the Alpha before I change my mind.
