I ended up studying that night as well. As much as I didn’t want to admit it, I knew Gareth was right. It wasn’t as if Mr. Farden was going to disappear the next day either. We basically had two goals as of that moment: find a way home, and try not to destroy the lives of our counterparts. Dana 2.0 and Gareth 2.0 were still achievers in this world, both academically and not. We could only assume that they were also trying not to ruin our lives back home. Except, with the inability to control nature and shapeshift, I was pretty sure my alternate version was failing Elementals and Therian classes, while I was failing her as a cheerleading captain.
Anyway, the next day finally came. And just as we discussed, Gareth picked me up from my house after school. Only I thought he would be discrete.
