DARIUS’ POV
Nara didn’t seem pleased that I had revealed that she was my mate, but I didn’t think I had any other choice.
Seraphina was there as well, and I was certain that I had made the best decision.
“What did you say?” Lord Alpheus was the first to speak, breaking the lingering silence.
“Nara here is my mate,” I said it again, even though I knew there was no need to repeat myself. I grabbed Nara by her waist and looked into her eyes with a smile on my face.
She didn’t like what I was doing, but I was convinced that it was the only way they cold let her be. All I wanted for her was immunity from the claws of Seraphina and her father.
“That’s not possible! It can’t be!” It was Seraphina’s turn to speak, and she was struggling with the truth that was right there in front of her.
