ALARA’S POV
I was not prepared for what had become the outcome of the meeting with the elders, but it seemed like it was the only thing that could save me from being torn apart by Lord Magnus and his cohorts.
“I am sorry that you had to witness that, Alara. I should have let you get prepared for the challenge ahead.” Darius was so sweet with his apology, and that made me smile just like him.
“Don’t worry about me, I am tougher than you think.”
