His remarks simply flowed from one of my ears to the other as I was feeling so overcome with emotions following Thomas, so many thoughts were going through my head and I wanted to give him a hug. All I wanted to do was hug him and put the world to rest. As I turned to look around, I saw that people were beginning to depart the building and say goodbye to one another. He turned around and nodded in reply, saying farewell to each and every one of them in a formal yet kind way until there were only a handful of people left in the foyer.
