Let’s record our own version of “Ebony and Ivory.” Ha! Aren’t I a riot? Hell couldn’t freeze fast enough … EC: So there. We do agree on something. The collages were one thing, but the girls never spoke directly about the paper dolls—not even to each other. It was just understood: two tow-headed magazine cutouts pasted over Barbie-like bodies. Each of them always played the same role. They never questioned their underlying need for a battle royal; it just always seemed to happen that way.
