I sighed with discomfort wiggling from what it felt like a bed softly . I opened my eyes only to close them when the light penetrated making me wince for a reason .

I rubbed my eyes and looked around and frown when I saw white walls , the irritating smell of the hospital .

"How did I get in here ?" I almost asked myself but shaked my head with a gasp when I remembered the events from yesterday together with an iririttaing feeling on my nose.

God ! I am in trouble . I mumbled fearfully closing my eyes .

Just then , the the door opened and in came a doctor followed by mom.

"mom .." I called her lightly bending my head , It was all my fault for not being obidient.

I was about to stand up when the doctor pushed me on the door softly, Stay calm and don't move .you are still recovering .

I nod my head and lay on the bed trying hard not to meet my mom's gaze.

The doctor checked my vitals as mom looked at me like a hawk .

I swallowed the bitterness of my mouth down my throat only to cough.

Here have some water , the elderly man offered and I kindly chugged the whole glass down my throat .

Thank you, i mumbled shyly

He chuckled and shaked his head with amusement , it's okay .

Miss don't worry , everything will be fine , but we have to keep her for one more night before she is released to make sure that she is alright.

He says and stood up and left the room and left me alone with mom.

M..mom ,

D.. don't , stop ! she breathed out and walked slowly and sat on my bed ,

How are you feeling ,? She asks taking me off guard and looked at my bandaged nose .

Umm .. I am okay, I whispered softly

Hmm I can see that, she replied eyeing me and patting my hair .

A silent formed between us when I broke it ,

Mom, I am sorry about yesterday. it .. it was all my fault . I nearly cried becuase mom is unpredictable and can do anything in whatever condition that I am in.

it's fine my dear .. She cooed again making me more tensed ,

" why is she being nice?" I am the one who wronged her right ?

Umm thank you , I replied .

You passed out for two days Sofia , what happened ? she asks out of nowhere ?

My eyes were wide and my mouth a gap , Two days ? Was I really that tired , ? I am pretty sure I needed that rest that's why I slept so much.

" What should I answer her ? "

I remember vividly how she mounted on my nose and slapped me for my disobedience but I can't provoke her anymore .

it's .. I . .. I am okay mom .

What happend to me ? I asked after a moment of silence .She sighed and rolled her eyes for a second and explained ,

You had a serious infection in your nose that's first and you didn't tell me , what if something hideous happened to you and your face gets damaged huh ? .. You scared the hell out of me when you were taken for surgery .

I always tell you to tell me anything that concerns you , I am your mom as I know the best for you. She lamented all the words in one breath making me muffle my sobs.

I .. I am sorry , i didn't know mom .I replied with all honesty .

Didn't you have a headache or some pain through out your face that you failed to notice the changes in your body ? She questioned aggravated ,

i shaked my head in response but could it be the same tiredness and dizziness that I caught when I was at school related with this ?

Either way , I wouldn't know.

That's what you are good at Sofia , you don't talk and the last few days costed us a dime for your treatment . And it's all because of you and your stupidity that made you faint and had a breathing attack .

I .. I am sorry mommy .. I whispered tearfully .

She shaked her head and sighed with disappointment and left the room with anger leaving me all alone.

it was all my fault .. What should I do ?

I closed my eyes and bawled myself on the bed trying to get some relief and these thoughts that were running in my head .

you will be okay Sofia , hang in there...my subconscious says to me and I drifted into another slumber.

Minutes later , from a far I heard the sound of a door being opened ,

Flower ... I heard a voice calling me and patting my hair softly . it felt so good .

Flower stop sleeping .. it's me your brother .

Am I hallucinating or something?

flower .. he calls again and kisses my forehead lovingly . it's your big buddy David ,

The drowsiness and sleep evacuated from my body as I sat upright abruptly looking at him.

shsh .. he cooes before I say another word and gives me a hug.

You are such a clumsy little girl,he whispers on my hair and kiss me at the top .

I giggled and bear hugged him .I missed you bro . I pout which made him pull out the hug after a minute and bent his head looking at me .

I missed you more flower. Did I wake you up ?

How are you feeling now ?

I giggled and replied you are silly, You woke me up and now asking if I am okay,

Ofcourse I am not , I pout dramatically . He raised his eyebrow and looked at me with amusement.

you mad now ,?

"Mhmm .. " I replied shortly .

Don't be .. I brought you your favourite dish when I was in the way . Mom called after you were awake and I wanted to surprise you with a meal .

I sighed with content and my stomach grumbled in que ,

Atleast Some body didn't forget that I needed some food , I mumbled to myself while he took out the take away foods .

"Yum.. " I hummed when the heavenly aroma of chicken ,and roasted fries with eggs were put on the mini table just beside us .

Thank you, I chirped happily and was about to dive in only for him to push off my hands .

"Are you clean , ?" He asked making me go red ,

you ask too much , let me eat !! I gruffed out .

Welp .. you are not eating if your hands are ..

okay , okay !! I cut him off and stood up form the bed .

Let me help .He came beside me and took me to the bathroom and to my surprise I wanted to use it badly,

okay wait for me here .. I will be right back . I tell him ,

Yea sure... he replied rolling his eyes as if knowing that I needed to use the bathroom .

Oh yes , without me forcing you out if this bed , then I am pretty sure your urine would have passed in your mouth .

I burst into a fit of a laughter,

Stop you are funny, we don't use the mouth to pee , you are too much .

I did my business and after few minutes of cleaning my red swollen face , I was out in my hospital dress.

He nodded with staisfaction and stated , " You look fine now ,"

I pinched his shoulder playfully and he groaned annoyed looking at me .

"I hate that s**t Sofia !! "

And I ended up bursting into a fit of laughter seconds after reaching my bed and moment later I devoured my food as I had his company .
