Sulem looked up at the ceiling as she tried to get her head right. After the that unexpected kiss that happened a few days ago, her and Chris shared she took it upon herself to keep distance between them.
She would lessen the time of their session just to prevent any questions or so on.
But she couldn't help but think more on it. It wasn't just a pecking kiss. He actually slid his tongue down her throat and to be honest, Sulem has never been kissed like that. Not even by the last boyfriend she ever had in life.
I kissed my patient.
Sulem bit her lip as she ran her fingers through her messy hair. She still couldn't believe she was staying in the same house with him.
Not being able to sleep as she twisted and turned, she finally sat up and got out of bed. She tugged down the T-shirt and tucked it into her sweat pants. She walked out the room and went to the kitchen.
She entered the kitchen and opened the fridge, grabbing the water bottle. Sulem closed the fridge and turned to face the window. She watched as the rain hit the glass and slid down slowly. She noticed the trees blowing a bit. She sighed.
Rain was always calming to her.
"Sulem" she heard a voice causing her to drop the water bottle in her hand as she jumped.
She turned and saw Chris sitting at the island table. She quickly bent down and grabbed the water bottle.
"I—I'm sorry, how long have you been in here?" Sulem questioned.
Chris smirked.
"Few hours" he replied. "Couldn't sleep?"
Sulem bit her lip."No"
Chris continued his intimidating gaze on her. Sulem looked everywhere but at him. It felt awkward ever since that kiss.
"Chris—"
"It was a mistake." He finished for her.
Sulem bit her tongue nodded her head.
"Yes, it's just....your my patient and I can't kiss my patients. It's inappropriate and risky for my job. We were caught in the moment."
Chris nodded his head in agreement. Silence covered them once again and Chris continued his intimidating stare.
"Could you please, stop staring at me like that."
Chris lips formed into a smirk. He found her being uncomfortable amusing.
"Like What?"
Sulem looked at him for a second before shaking her head. "I'm going to bed." She walked past the island and was about to exit then he pulled her back.
She turned to face him and was about to speak but he smashed his lips into hers.
Here she was again. Letting her patient kiss her. She tried to pull away but his hands traveled to her hips and gripped her closer.
"No Chris—mmmm" she felt his tongue slid across her bottom lip and that did something to her. She felt herself heat up. She gasped when he grasped her bottom which made him slid his tongue into her mouth.
She felt him move his hands to her sweats and tugged at the strings.
Finally finding the strength, she pulled back. The two stared at each other. s****l tension filled the room. Intense.
Sulem shook her head and quickly walked out the kitchen going to her room. She had to make sure this would not happen again.
Chris stared after her watching her go around the corner. He exhaled as he thought. He didn't know what he was doing. Feeling the strong urge to kiss her again. He rubbed a hand over his face. He didn't know what it was but he felt the need of more. Tasha was never on his mind and he did not feel any guilt at all. Maybe he should just end it all together. He exhaled an irritated breath.
He remind himself to—have control.
"So you kissed thee CHRIS BROWN how many times?" Marina, Sulem friend asked as they continued running on the track.
Sulem had so much inside her she needed to vent and she did that with her friend.
"The first one was a mistake. He was vulnerable and it was a mistake."
The two jogged straight for the bleachers to take a breath.
"Then he did it again, last night." Sulem said and grabbed her water.
"Hmm, it seems he has some type of feelings for you." Marina smirked
Sulem rolled her eyes and took a sip from her water. "He can't have feelings for me."
Marina nodded her head, "Sulem, from what you told me, he kissed you first, twice."
Sulem shrugged. "I know that but it won't happen again and I'm serious this time."
She rolled her eyes at her friend. "You always say that and it always happen."
"Whatever." Sulem mumbles as she felt her phone vibrate. She unzipped her bag and pulled it out to find Mrs. Joyce calling her.
"Hello"
"Sulem I need you to come back"
Sulem furrowed her eyebrows, "Is everything okay?"
She sighed, "No Chris being his stubborn self. He left the house without even telling me and I'm afraid I don't know where he went."
Sulem exhaled and looked up towards the sky with her eyes closed.
"I might know where he went."
After exchanging some choice words, Sulem slid her phone back into the bag. She looked up at Marina who was staring at some guy with blonde hair.
"Damn, I might be in need of some white chocolate" Marina bit her lip as she continued to stare at the shirtless white gentleman.
Sulem shook her head and told her she'll talk with her later. Sulem got in the car and set her belongings in the back before starting the car.
She just hoped Chris hasn't done anything stupid.
***
And just when she arrived to the building she found Chris arguing with his coach. For she also noticed he doesn't have his crutches. Sulem parked up on the side and got out the car. Coach E, Chris coach sighed out of frustration as Chris continued his assault on the topic.
"I'm the best on that fvcking team and you want to trade me!" Chris snapped.
"Listen Chris, you had a good run with the Hawk—"
Chris shut him down not really wanting a sappy explanation.
"Fvck you and that team!"
Chris turned on his heels and limped towards his car that was not to far from hers. Coach went back inside as if nothing happened.
Sulem hurries over to where Chris was walking. "Chris!" She shouted but he kept walking.
"Chris...can you slow down a bit." For a man with a injured knee he was fast. It's only been 3-4 weeks when she had started this physical therapy with him.
Just when he opened his car she closed it and leaned up against the door. She looked up at his face and it was red. Chris was fuming and he was in no mood to be bother.
"Watch out." He snapped which made Sulem frown.
"It's okay Chris. I'm going to help you get back on your feet. You'll be in the game no time."
Chris scoffed and ignored what she just said.
"Move."
Sulem stayed where she was. "Did you not hear me? I'm going to help—"
"I don't need your damn help! Get off my car!" He said harshly.
Sulem looked into his eyes and saw nothing but anger. His eyes were tinted black. This was a phase, most of her patients that feel like it's to hard or difficult the tend to get angry. Most of her patients would go through this but the problem was...
Chris wasn't like her other patients.
"Look, I know your angry and upset but you have to be—"
"If I say get off my car again you are not going to like the outcome." He said harshly.
And here he was again.
Sulem sighed and moved away from his car. Chris glared at her before getting into his car and speeding off, almost running over her feet.
And back to square one....
