Nora entered the building and she felt the warm air embracing her. She looked around pleased. I can easily see myself working here, she said to herself. She glanced at the elevator and checked her phone to find the email. OK, she thought, I have to take the elevator and go to the 10th floor. I’ve got this.She reached the elevator and pressed the button. Someone grabbed the door. She looked surprised."Apologies if I startled you" the man said. "It wasn’t my intention".Nora looked at him and felt as if her heart skipped a beat. Oh God, she thought, it's him. Why he doesn’t recognize me? Is me, for God’s sake. Give me a kiss, a hug, anything….Any reaction would be better than this.Few seconds later she managed to collect her thoughts and gave him a quick glance."No worries" she whispered."Are you new here? I haven’t seen you around." Said the man looking at her with curiosity."Yes, I am. I came for my interview"she answered with a trembling voice."Oh, I see. I hope you will get the job and we can see each other again" he said smiling and winked at her. Nora finally found the courage to look at his eyes."I am positive, we will see each other again" she said staring at him this time. He looked at her confused. These eyes, he thought. The way she looks at me, as if she knows me, as if I know her, who is she? The elevator stopped and the door opened."That’s me, good luck with your interview" he said politely."Thank you" she replied. Once she observed him leaving, she was in low spirits. Come on, I should have expected this, she said to herself. I knew that he would not recognize me straight away.  Yes, a little voice said inside her head, but hope never dies. And the way he looked at me at the end…Oh my God, how can I handle this?! She reached the 10th floor and approached the reception desk.She saw the receptionist smiling at her."You must be Nora Williams" she said."Hello, yes, that is me.""Welcome Mrs Williams. We were expecting you." Few floors below.

Without being able to concentrate, he was just staring at his computer. His head was hurting, he felt as if he was running out of air. What the hell is going on with me? He asked himself. The way she was looking at me, she seemed so familiar, but I cannot recall seeing her before. That is for sure. And what she meant with she is positive we will see each other again…..I need some air.

He stood up and walked through the room.

"Another cigarette?" Anna asked him smiling.

"I need some air" Mark answered.

"You look pale, is everything ok?"

"Yes, I just need some fresh air that is all" he forced himself to smile.

"OK. I will join you" Anna said.

"No!" He yelled.

Few people turned their heads and looked at them curiously.

Anna looked at him surprised.

"I mean is not necessary, I would like to be alone." Told her lowering his voice.

"OK OK, I am just worrying" she said softly.

"You don’t have to" he said smiling at her and gave her a soft kiss in the lips.

Anna smiled back at him and continued her work.

He went towards the door. His best friend Niko, got in his way.

"OK, you might have fooled Anna but you cannot fool me too" Niko said.

Mark took a deep breath. What’s wrong with everybody, he thought.

"I am not trying to fool anybody. I just need to be alone. Why is it too hard for you to understand that?"

"Come on Mark. Is me, your best friend, remember? I know you, and I know that you would never raise your voice to Anna."

Mark looked at him confused.

"I did?" He asked and looked at Anna’s place.

"You did" Niko answered.

"Sorry Niko, I do not know what’s got into me, but I need to go out for a few minutes and no I do not want you or Anna or anyone to come with me."

Niko touched his shoulder.

"I understand. I guess what we are trying to tell you is that we are here if you need us."

"I know, and I thank you for that." He said smiling and went to the elevator.
