Setting up for this MCU party was a chore honestly. It was now almost one in the afternoon and Tom had still not waken up yet. I had dealt with all his meetings, calls and everything he asked me to do. I postponed meetings due to he's already missed them and now I was getting people in to come decorate his home ever so slightly along with running out more then three times to pick up food, drinks and other stuff he most likely wanted. I also went out of my way to pick him up some Advil and ginger-ale just in case he wasn't feeling well when he woke up.
"Ms. Ronson, where did you want the fruit platter?" A gentlemen asked as he timidly walked up.
Chewing my lip I smiled. "In the fridge for now, party is still for a few hours yet so best to keep it cold." This whole day was exhausting and I hadn't even had sleep since Tom had phoned me. My day was surviving off caffeine drinks and the thoughts of the MCU cast here tonight.
Hearing a door shut I turned to see Tom had come out of the room, looking like he had been asleep for a year with his hair all over and his clothes ruffled. "Good afternoon Mr. Holland, I already started the planning. Everyone will be here for around five. I also bought you Advil and ginger-ale just in case you weren't feeling well."
Tom looked at me in slight shock. "You planned all this, plus did running around all while I was sleeping?" He pointed at the room he had just came from.
"Was I not supposed to sir?"
"You were, why not invite a friend tonight. You can cater to our needs tonight. I will pay you both for it." He headed towards his bedroom and closed the door. "Oh, and Elena," he opened it to show his face, "dress nice tonight. I don't want you in PJ's." He gestured to my leggings and tank top. As he stepped out he smirked, "get your shoes on. We're going out."
Looking a bit taken by surprise I nodded and gathered my shoes, following him out to his car. Getting into the passenger seat he started up the engine and made his way into the streets. "Where are we going?" I questioned him.
"Just getting a few more things, plus I am buying you a dress for tonight." Shaking my head trying to say it was okay he just cut me off. "I am not having you look like that tonight."
We made it to the store, and didn't look cheap either. We walked inside and were greeted by a women about in her forties. "Mr. Holland, so good to see you. Is this your girlfriend?" She turned her attention to me.
"No," he cleared his throat. "This is my assistant, I just want her out of this outfit and into something more prettier tonight." The women nodded and asked me to follow her.
I followed her into the back and my expression turned into shock. There were hundreds of dresses and none I knew I could afford. "So, what are we thinking hmm?" She smiled at me as she grabbed a robe for me to strip into.
Changing into the robe I shrugged, "I never been to anything like this. Nothing too crazy, it's just for a evening."
We tried of a few dresses before she decided to give me a light purple dress and that wasn't skin tight.
Tom had paid and escorted us back to his car, we had about half hour before his party started.
"I want coffee" He piped up as he pulled into a coffee shop.
"Sir, your party starts in twenty minutes. We should be heading home, you don't want to be late do you?"
Tom waved his hand to hush me as he began ordering. I had texted Maria back at the shop and I was still getting texts saying she was so excited because I had chose her to come help me tonight. Replying to my overly excited friend Tom had started driving. We had made it to his house leaving us four minutes to both change and get everything ready. Bolting into the bathroom I stripped shoving my clothes in my bag before changing into the dress. Leaving my hair down I decided to brush my fingers through it. Stepping out Tom looked up at me and nodded. "Good, now you don't like a sugar daddy's daughter." He mumbled totally killing the mood for me.
Guests arrived and they were talking having a good time in the living room while Maria and I served drinks to them. She wore a nice peach coloured bodysuit and she looked amazing. "I can't believe I am in the same room as Chris, look how handsome he is." She smiled admiring her long time superhero crush.
"Good thing his divorce was final last year." I joked pouring more wine for the girls and champagne for Tom. "Working for Tom is so weird you know, sometimes he can be nice- but for the most part, he isn't like what everyone said."
Maria shrugged. "I can't help you there Lena, you signed on with this and sometimes this stuff happens." She took a sip of her drink before sighing, "come on, they're going to start serving themselves soon."
Following her into the other room everyone was chatting away. "Mr. Holland, here is your drink."
"I'd hope it's mine." He spoke low enough so only him and I could hear. "Why are you hiding away, I am not paying you to hide in my kitchen all night. Look alive Ms. Ronson, or should I have hired someone else for this job." That hit me like a tonne of bricks.
"No, Mr. Holland. I will stay out here."
"Good, tomorrow is laundry day and cleaning day. Have see it someone makes this house look brand new." He walked away smiling as he made his way over to Elizabeth. Grabbing empty drink bottles of the table I let out a almost defeated sigh.
Turning I saw Chris talking to Maria smiling. I could tell she was mentally screaming as she played with her nails. "Excuse me, you look rather wonderful tonight." Turning I saw Tom Hiddleston smiling as he stretched his hand out to shake mine. "My name is, well, also Tom but for a laugh we just say Loki, or Hiddleston. and who are you?" He smiled.
Going to shake his hand I nearly knocked empty bottles of wine and everything, hearing it clank together Tom swept some bottles from my arms. "Sorry, my name is Elena. I'd love to shake your hand but I kind of have them full" Tom chuckled and gestured for me to follow him, doing just that we went into the kitchen and put the empty bottles down. "Nice to meet you, now." I joked shaking his hand.
He smiled pulling my hand to his lips and pressing a soft kiss on it. "And you, Elena. It's nice to see a good assistant for Tom, he deserves the best. He's such a sweet person." Tom Holland, the Tom I was working for?
"Ugh, yeah. Thank you."
"You look shattered though" He said as we headed our way back into the living room. Holland looked over, seeming a bit unimpressed.
Nodding I smiled. "Yeah, I've been working for a long time today. But it turned out well."
Smiling Tom handed me a little card, "well if you ever want to chat that is my number. I hope so hear from you, Elena it was nice chatting."
The night had pretty much come to an end, I was cleaning up and the rest of the cast were leaving. Maria jogged her way up to me, smile on her face. "Guess who has Chris's number and is going for coffee on her day in two days." She smiled.
"Awesome, I got Tom Hiddleston's number, he was very nice." Maria nodded, "why not head home. I'll start going soon."
Maria again nodded, "sure, see you soon. Drive safe."
Once she was gone Tom had walked out of the kitchen. "Tonight went well, so tomorrow is another big day, I want you here for the afternoon. Unless I call you, then earlier. Oh, and Ms. Ronson, when it comes to cast, please don't flirt with them" I was taken by surprise by his tone. Tom wasn't the guy everyone told me he was. He was quite arrogant.
"O-okay, goodnight Mr. Holland, I'll see you tomorrow. I said grabbing my phone and heading to my car. It was eleven at night and I was thankful my boss wasn't out of his face drunk again. I could go home and sleep, right now that was all I wanted.
Driving home, I made my way inside seeing Maria was already in bed, doing the same thing I set an alarm for the mid morning and curled up in my bed before closing my eyes.
I was so glad today was over.
