Dear Diary,
Today is Wednesday, November 14th. Yesterday Ivory and I found a wolf in the woods, and it turns out she is being hunted down for reasons that have yet to be revealed to me. The thing I find most intriguing is that Ivory knew immediately that she could be trusted and then when she was telling me the story of what happened to her, I could picture it like I was there, and I don’t just mean that she was a good storyteller, and I could visualize it. I mean that it was almost like I was watching it happen on TV and from her point of view. When she was bit in the story, I could even feel the pain in my leg, probably nowhere near how she felt it but the pain was there. I don’t know what any of this means but I feel like I’ve just fallen down the rabbit hole.
On another note, I slept in my new room on the 3rd floor last night, no one has lived on the 3rd floor since my grandfather moved to the second floor. My great great grandparents were amazing leaders and are the ones who are responsible for part of the leadership we have today. They bought slaves just to free them from other packs and they helped everyone in the pack find where they belonged and helped them start businesses and led the pack not because they were feared but because they were loved and respected. They even tripled the size of our pack during their leadership and took in rouges. I now live in their room, and I only hope to make them proud and accomplish half of what they did and not overstep like their successor.
My great grandfather was a mean tyrant, he even abused his mate. He conquered several packs during his leadership, but any failure was severely punished. His first son out of 10 children in total challenged him for the spot as alpha at the age of 16 and was killed. My grandfather and the other 2 boys then teamed up and took him down when my grandfathers 16th birthday came a year later. This needed to be done because if it hadn’t other packs would have stepped in. My grandfather then moved to the second floor, he said that he never felt like a true alpha, probably because his older brother was meant to be, so he didn’t feel comfortable on the alpha floor. My grandfather didn’t have a beta at that point because at some point his father had killed off the beta family. My dad didn’t have a beta either when he took over, I on the other hand am restoring the balance. I will decide upon a beta this week though I don’t know who for sure yet and I will build upon what my great great grandparents had envisioned. My dad and grandfather returned lands that were taken without real reason, and they have restored our name, which gives me a good place to pick up the torch.
Goodbye for now, Alpha Reign
I put my journal away just like yesterday and then mind linked Grace and Paul, “How is Vanessa doing?” I asked.
“She is doing great; I came in just to check on her, and she would like to see you when you have time.” Grace replied.
“Okay, I will be there after my morning run.” I reply as I get up. The clock on my desk reads 5:18 a.m. I head to my bedroom and take clothes out of my closet for the day, black leggings, matching black lace bra and underwear, and a navy-blue V-neck. I shrug, works for me. I then grab my navy-colored moccasins and no-show socks and set everything on the bed so I can strip out of my pjs and dress.
“I get to run?” Ivory asks.
“Yes,” I reply as I am walking out of my room dressed except for my bare feet. I walk out the back door and strip down leaving my clothes on our swing outside on top of my shoes and socks. Ivory takes over and runs straight for the woods behind our house, after about 2 miles we come to our favorite spot along the river, the hot spring. I shift back and get in the water to relax.
I close my eyes as I sit here, and I lay my head back along the edge and in that moment, I am overtaken with a vision similar to the experience I had yesterday only I am myself.
I am in wolf form walking toward the hot spring with a large black wolf and I can’t help but admire his beauty in the moonlight. He nuzzles my neck and then licks where my mark would be and I can feel the sparks through my body.
I open my eyes and I am now aroused, “Who was that?” I ask Ivory.
“That was our mate, and he is beautiful.” She says back to me. I let her word sink in, how was I able to see a wolf I’ve never met, that couldn’t just be a dream.
I climbed out of the hot spring and shifted back into Ivory, she stretched out and ran back toward the pack house. Once were onto the back porch I shift and get dressed. I then walk around the house and toward the clinic to visit Vanessa.
