Chapter 5:

Vanessa;

“I don’t want to see you anymore, your face irks me out and makes me want to puke,” Lyra’s voice re-occurred in my ears for the umpteenth time. It saddened my heart and I couldn’t feel more pain.

I hesitated for a while but after much thought, I heaved heavily and pulled my hands out to knock on his door.

My heart was beating rapidly; this was my first time coming to his house to say something not relating to Lyra. Actually, I was just here to console him. I just felt bad the way he was shut up by Lyra, plus, he seemed pretty sad.

There was no answer that accompanied my knock, so I decided to knock again until I heard his husky voice, “Who is that?”

My heart skipped a beat and I could figure out that he had been crying. His voice seemed a little shaky and I could hear sniffing amidst his words.

I quickly fixed my hair and took a quick look at my purse mirror and undoubtedly, it was still perfect.

The door was opened for me to see his perfect figure. He was shirtless and wore dark jeans to accompany his ruffled look. I licked my upper lip sexily, he was the exact thing I wanted in a man, but Lyra was quick to beat me to him. He was supposed to be mine.

He squints his eyes at me, surprised, “What brings you here? Did Lyra finally come back to her senses and send you to apologize?”

I felt annoyed but quickly masked it with a little smile. Why was everything about Lyra? I had a life too. Besides, I wasn’t here to get jealous.

I licked my lips again, giving him a sexy smile before pushing him in gently and slowly caressed his abs.

I could feel that he wasn’t comfortable with what I was doing so he mumbled and gently pushed my hands away mercilessly.

“If you aren’t here for Lyra, then why are you here?” It was evident in his beautiful god damn eyes that he wanted to get rid of me like I was some trash. I scoffed; I didn’t expect this to be easy anyway. I was going to gradually make him mine, even if it was the last thing I did on earth.

I took a step closer to him and pulled a very pitiful and innocent face, “I felt sorry for you about how she treated you. It was so unfair.”

He tried to brush it off but I could feel his bitter heart, “She’s probably not in her right senses, maybe I’ll try talking to her when she resumes work.”

Then I patted his shoulder, trying to console him, “That’s a great idea.” And I changed the patting of his shoulder to gently caressing it. He probably didn’t notice since he was too busy thinking about Lyra. Even when it was disgusting to me, she is the only option I had right now to get to him.

“You know, she also told me about how much she hated seeing my face. I felt hurt too, so that’s why I came to meet you. We can probably console ourselves and hope for better times.”

He was probably aback for a while, but the silence was tense between us until I decided to break it, “Won’t you offer me something to eat or drink? I’m sad enough as it is.”

He was nervous and behaved somewhat weird, the same thing I like in a man, he was definitely mine.

He chuckled slightly, “I’m sorry, where are my manners? What would you like?”

I tugged his shoulders gently and bit my lower lip, “I’m fine with whatever you offer me, as long as it comes from you.”

He flashed a smile at me but it wasn’t genuine, he probably wanted me out of here. But sadly, I wasn’t going anywhere till I completed my mission.

He blinked thoroughly, “Then, make yourself at home while I fetch some leftover dessert I had from this morning.”

I nodded obediently and walked dreamily to his couch while mesmerizing on his muscular shoulders. I badly wanted him to hug me, cover me tight and tell me everything was going to be okay. But, it was one step at a time if I eventually wanted to win him over.

Soon enough, he was back with cookies and milk. I put on a satisfactory smile as though I was interested in it when technically, I was interested in him.

I pushed my leg forward and before he could put the plate of cookies down, I hugged him from behind. He was stiff and frozen but when I began caressing his butt side, he slowly felt a little comfortable.

And as if he was realizing something, he released himself from the embrace, “This isn’t right. What if Lyra suddenly barges in and catches us like this?”

I smirked victoriously, I was this close to getting him and I know that if I tried a little convincing on him, he was going to be mine today.

“She rejected you. Isn’t that enough for you to leave her alone?” I caressed his ears with a sweet smile on my face.

His ear tingled against my touch and he sighed. He parted his lips to say something but I disrupted it with a smacking kiss. He didn’t give in at first but when I persisted, he kissed further.

I cupped his chin and gently pushed him into the bedroom. He was definitely in the moment and spelled my name in between moans. I tugged his trousers and immediately, he loosened the belt around it. Lo and behold, his underwear was visible to my sight.

I couldn’t take it anymore. I held him tightly and pushed him towards the bed in which we both landed together. His grip around my waist tightened as we smack ourselves with pitiless kisses.

“Will you be mine?” I asked unknowingly and he gently nodded, not wanting to let go of my lips. The moment was hot and seems to be unending. Oh my God, I couldn’t get enough of him. This was much better than I ever imagined. Lyra was nothing but an ingrate. She had this man all to herself and still felt like he wasn’t enough for her.

“Let’s get down to the real business,” His voice jolted me from my thoughts and I smiled widely. I peeled the buttons on my shirt, showcasing my plump boobs and as we were about to get down to it, her voice came out.

“William?”

My eyes widened, why was she here? I didn’t expect her to come crawling back to apologize to her lover especially after what she said earlier.

Immediately William had his name, he immediately shoved me aside as though I was a nobody and looked at her apologetically with some hint of love evident in his eyes.

“It is not what you think. Please, let me explain.”
